When did they indicate that Decker is on board?

"We have no idea how to fix this, please halp!"Aaron Harberts said:Who knows. It could be classified. There are many options. Some of the best ideas come from all over the place, not just in our writers’ room, so I love hearing about the fan ideas and theories. We’ll have to see.
There is a Cadet Decker onboard but no first name was given.
I don't think anyone will like this post, and I hope I'm wrong about my conclusions.
I expect no resolution of how the Klingons look, the change of ships, why the Spore Drive isn't in use, why Spock never mentions Burnham.
Producers, show writers and showrunners telling us that everything will make sense and to just hold in has been a trope of TV production from the X-Files, modern BattleStar Galactica, Lost, FlashForward and many more.
In other words, none of what has been suggested will be resolved, will likely be resolved. No answers will be given this season. In reality, I suspect that whilst their knowledge of the franchise is far better than anyone gives them credit for, I think they have made this up as they go along with no end in sight.
One very clear indication of this is how the incredibly talented makeup, prosthetic guys repeatedly insist on throwing Fuller under a bus each time the Klingons are brought up. I think the two guys featured on After Trek are incredibly talented, but in almost every interview, the Klingon design gets laid at Fuller's door,
Fuller has become the fall guy for the Klingon design, and the only reason I can see you would do that is that you've been told to say that. Otherwise, it's incredibly bad form for what are very nice designs, if a little hard to get used to initially.
I suspect the Klingon issue is like the TOS aesthetic issue. It could all be resolved by calling this a reboot. They chose not to do this, but I don't think they've planned this out either. I'd be happier just saying that they revisualised things but now that overarching story points such as cloaking are not fitting, I'm no longer sure.
Mark my words - they will tell you that everything will be revealed and resolved next season.
Needs monkeys.I have a crazy theory but what if Burnham IS Spock? Spock while dying sort of dreams of the life he had on the ship he served on before "Enterprise" and a life in which he choose a more human path. The woman he see's himselfas is his late wife who was also human, Georgiou has taken on the role of Amanda. The tech is mixed up as is the Klingons because his dying mind is confusing future tech with older tech that was really used. Tyler represents his desire for human love and his issue's of identity also represent Spock's own feelings on the subject as a man who was torn between two worlds. He is still trying to get the approval of Sarek. Perhaps this is how a Katra actually works when it isn't passed on to another.

With the possible exception of the spore drive, I don't think there is any need to explain the Klingons' look one way or the other, or why Spock never mentioned Burnham, or the "change of ships" (whatever this means).I don't think anyone will like this post, and I hope I'm wrong about my conclusions.

The only visual aspects that I'd like "corrected" are the uniforms. They are just so bland and the template for The Cage era uniforms are pretty great to work on an updated version of that if they dont get there I'll be disappointed.
The ships feel like the perfect blend of ENT and TOS to me. Not as garishly colorful but plenty of odd geometric shaping to bulkheads and corridors that look just like TOS era.
The spore drive, like genesis and transwarp drive, seems just another failed or misappropriated technology that starfleet and the UFP can ban. So not troubled there.
I do think that a mention of Burnahm's relationship with Spock or even a scene of them as kiddos together is necessary. I need to feel there is more significance to that choice. The episode with Sarek and his decision to choose SPocks future with VSA over Michaels was really lovely, but I want a little more development there. And honest, I would love to see Pike era Enterprise show up. I really would.
This, and who says Spock never mentioned Michael to Kirk? Who says Michael never made a visit to the Enterprise or something? Just because it wasn't ever shown in those 79 eps and 6 films, doesn't mean they never talked about her. Kirk never talks about his favourite music either, doesn't mean he doesn't have one.I really don't think there's much to reconcile. It's really just the spore drive, Michael needs no explanation, Spock never bothered to mention his parents until they beamed abord the Enterprise, Sybock was never mentioned before and after his one appearance, Spock not talking about his family except when he literally runs into them is already canon.
With the possible exception of the spore drive, I don't think there is any need to explain the Klingons' look one way or the other, or why Spock never mentioned Burnham, or the "change of ships" (whatever this means).
If they choose to do away with the spore drive in a way that explains why it was never used after DSC, that is easily accomplished.
If you want to think of DSC as a reboot, that is your right, but there is also no need for the producers to do it.
If I end up loving DSC as much as I loved X-Files and nuBSG, I won't have a problem at all with a few dangling "continuity threads" if there are any.
Consider your words "marked", however, I think they will all end up being pretty much irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
“We have ten years until the original series comes into play. It is a challenge creatively because we have lots of choices in terms of how do we reconcile this [Spore] Drive? This surrogate daughter of Sarek? How do we reconcile these things the closer we get to the original series? That’s going to be a big discussion that we have in season two.”
"But the Spore drive? Who knows? It could be classified. There are many options.”
The "change of ships" refers to the totally different looking Klingon ships- apologies, I'd assumed that was clear. Clearly it wasn't
I really hope you're right, I love the show. I just dislike showrunners and staffers claiming there is a grand plan. The whole 'stay with us and you'll see how we don't break continuity' has been trotted out too many times by DSC staffers and it's unnecessary in my opinion.
Here is flavour of what Haberts has been saying before the premier:
"One of those areas of canon includes Spock and his parents. Michael Burnham will appear as a ward of Sarek’s and her presence and how it all works will be explained. “The audience just has to be patient, because typically, if it seems like we’re violating canon, we know,” said Harberts. “We know that people might have knee-jerk reactions to things. But we have a plan.”
I said, effectively - "mark my words, they will tell you that the apparent cannon issues will be resolved seasons 2 onwards"
Here is what Haberts has just said (taken from Screenrant)
I love the show, but he just pretty much stated that there was no planning for how to resolve things like the spore drive. The very definition of Lost style plotting. This is how you get numerous awful Enterprise episodes as well. No forward planning.

This season is and has always been a self contained story. "Today's news" isn't changing anything. This is what was said by the EP over a month before your earlier post:This is what I wrote just over a week ago. Some people felt that this season was a self contained story. With today’s news I hope people begin to realise that many of the thing being setup now will have no resolution in this season. Perhaps not even in the next.
If it looks like Lost and it walks like Lost, maybe just like Lost a lot of these promises of things making sense and it being planned out aren’t going to hold water.
