I read them. You left out a key part at the end...

Notwithstanding the provisions of Paragraph 7-502, a Director who is replaced after directing ninety percent (90%) but less than one hundred percent (100%) of the scheduled principal photography of any motion picture shall be the Director of the film entitled to all the post-production creative rights set forth in this Article 7, unless (a) the Director was primarily responsible for causing the motion picture to be “over budget” or (b) the substituting Director was required to direct more than ten percent (10%) of all principal photography for the picture.

How to make a bad superhero villain 101:

Villain that can pretty much freely appear and disappear takes the drama out of pretty much every fight.
Villain that just wants to destroy stuff because. . . it reminds him of home? Because he failed at it before? Basically no reasonable relatable motivation.
Villain that is entirely and obviously computer generated the entire film.
Villain who spends 90% of his screentime jumping and swinging an axe around.
Villain's only allies are identical, interchangeable, CGI drones that don't present a real threat to the heroes.

Avengers?

I liked it. It had the same coherent problems as Batman vs Superman, namely it felt like a lot was left on the cutting room floor, but I had fun with it.

I don't think there was a coherent problem. I understood it perfectly. It just felt rushed at times, due to the editing.

Which is not applicable here.

Snyder stepped aside during POST-PRODUCTION, yet still retained all of the rights afforded to him as Justice League's director, which he would have forfeited only through arbitration.

Did Snyder deliver his director's cut to the studio before departing?

Subject to Paragraph 7-505 (g) (2), no one other than the Director may supervise the editing of the first cut of the film following completion of the editor’s assembly, but if the Director refuses to, or due to incapacity, cannot supervise the first cut, the Employer may assign another person to edit the film. Within one (1) day following such an assignment, the Employer shall send the Guild written notice thereof.

There were moments where it felt like this movie didn’t flow. That was the same issue I had with B vs. S.

Ok the worst of the bad reviews just couldn't be serious. The ones that said the movie had 0 redeemable qualities as if this is the worst movie of all time. Come on now! The movie is a solid B. If you are a fan of the MCU, you are not giving this movie an F. That's just crazy.

So... the music. Elfman paid lip service to previously created themes but it was obvious that he really wanted to change them up. I think the old Superman theme had to go, since we are going with a different version of this character. The other one was ominous and foreboding. The Wonder Woman theme should have been used more though...

I must say I enjoyed the more cheerful and positive take on Superman. And Cavill put to rest any question about whether the muscles are built into the suit.

As I said over in the other JL thread I've just come back from seeing this and I loved it. I only wish it could have been fifteen or twenty minutes longer in order to savour it more. In fact I like it so much so that I'm giving serious thought to seeing it again tonight, this time in 3D. I really did think that to quote Felicity Smoak from last year's 'Arrowverse Crossover' "Best team-up ever!". Like many have said the villain could have been more menacing and fleshed out - did I imagine it in one or another of the trailers seeing Steppenwolf in human form? But I think you've got to understand that in computer game parlance he was an 'end of level guardian', Darkseid is the big bad. I also like how the Para-Demons turned on him at the end. One predictable thing was that Clark was going to get Bruce to get his farm back for his mother. Do you think he reminded him that her name was Martha .
To me it was clear that the film's conclusion had left the heroes (and one of their villains see below) in their default positions. The only thing that wasn't explained how Clark got his life back given that he was declared dead and yet Superman returns from the dead and not long afterward, so does Clark Kent. Oh and we got a proper Superman shirt rip in the DCEU at last. I liked the use of the Batman '89 theme, though why it needed to be acknowledged in the end credits as separate from the main score I don't know. I also like the two scenes during and after the credits. The Superman/Flash race and at the very end, Lex Luthor on his yacht having escaped from Arkham Asylum - easily the most un-escape proof facility on Earth - setting up the next Batman film with Deathstroke. One thing I was confused about. In one of the trailers or clips I saw Marc McClure who played Jimmy Olsen in the Chris Reeve Superman films as a police office who gets a car thrown over him. But in the film itself he's a prison guard at (Presumably) Iron Heights, what gives?

I've just re-read your post and did you mean the Hans Zimmer Man of Steel theme or the John Williams Superman the Movie one? If you mean the former then I agree. If you meant the latter then I couldn't disagree more. In fact I'd like to have seen more of it in JL rather than a few tantalising hints, perhaps the aforementioned shirt-rip scene towards the end? The Superman I think we'll be getting from now in the DCEU from now on tonally will render the John Williams score appropriate again.
All in all I gave this an A, roll on the Blu-Ray and possible an extended cut.

I will never in my life watch the movie, but I find everyone's comments here to be more entertaining than most super hero movies. So good job everyone!
