I've skimmed a couple episodes and after the launch sequence where Bortus and Kataan are at those stations, they aren't seen there again - they move to the portside stations DURING the pilot!

I think the reason is more practical than anything else. When people are back there, they can't really talk with the CO or XO face to face easily on camera and look good. From a cinematographic point of view it's far easier for everyone to be in an arc in the forward part of the set.

LOL. I actually created trekcore's name. Back in 2005 when Mike and Adam wanted to start the site as the successor to trekpulse.com (another long story), they were originally going to use trekhorizons.com. I told them that name did not sound right for what they wanted to do IMO, I came up with a list of 10 names (whose domain names were available), trekcore.com was one of them they really liked and the rest is history.

MacFarlane has a bone to pick with everyone. It is one of the reasons I like his work, more so American Dad than Family Guy.

You typed a lot but said very little. Try working on being more concise.

Any idea when they will release some model kits or toys for the ships? For that matter, to whom should we write letter after letter requesting models or toys of the Orville?
 
If Orville does well enough, Eaglemoss might want a piece of that property, yes. While the production does, on occasion, use practical filming miniatures, they do also have everything in CG. Would be a relatively simple matter to get masters printed. I suspect the hardest thing to do in the process would be to acquire the license.
