It does. I shone my phone's LED spotlight at it and took it into a dark closet. It works, but it does seem to require a fairly strong light source.
Ok, I used the trick of shining my phones flashlight on the Defiant for a couple minutes to charge it. Definitely makes a big difference.
why are you selling your jumbo-D?Your best bet is to flip it on eBay. I have an XL E-D and a first-generation E-D dedication plaque that I'm going to put up there at some point.
Fair enough, I know most places are like that. I'm not a huge fan of ebay, and there's other models I want, so figured just a straight trade might be my best bet...I don't think so. I believe using the BBS for commerce of any kind, even if in trade, is forbidden. I've often advocated for the setting up of a "for sale" forum where Trek/sci-fi specific items for sale could be mentioned, but it was never done. Your best bet is to flip it on eBay. Ben confirmed on Twitter that all of the classes I mentioned above are part of their plans for the Discovery collection.

Like I said, read the thread. Not interested in rehashing old news that everyone else seems to know about.
Literally no response. Got it. Moving on then.
Up until thnow I've had no problems with them, but apparently despite sending me an email saying they had cancelled my subscription like I asked, they hadn't.I've always found Eaglemoss's customer service in the UK to be nothing short of excellent. From what I've read in this thread, it seems that there is a serious management problem in the US office.
To put it simply, his user expectations have been greater than what they have delivered and he feels slighted by them.
I cancelled successfully after about 8 months but that was several years ago. I decided I would only buy those models that were of sufficient interest to me. Thr couple of issues for which I've needed to contact Eaglemoss since I cancelled my subscription have been resolved successfully. I'm always polite in my enquiries, which might help. Your case either sounds like an administrative error or a timing issue - the small print might state that there is a period of notice for cancellation.Up until thnow I've had no problems with them, but apparently despite sending me an email saying they had cancelled my subscription like I asked, they hadn't.
Same here, I only wanted to spend money on those I really wanted, so I emailed to cancel and got a response saying that was fine and they had done so, which must have been a month ago.I cancelled successfully after about 8 months but that was several years ago.
