Scruffy-looking untitled Han Solo film thread

Wow, I didn't expect Howard would do that much. If 80% was really reshot, then is it safe to say that Howard will get the director's credit at this point?

Further down the road, will the Lord and Miller footage ever see the light of day?

I find it hard to imagine at least some of it won't end up as DVD extras. Hell, there might even be a couple 10-20 minute shorts they could pull out of it.

I'm not surprised, he did seem to shoot for quite a while.

I don't know, with the way things ended with Lord and Miller I could see Lucasfilm wanting to just avoid them and everything they did.

...until the super-duper extra platinum mega 4K boxset of all things Star Wars set. ;)

Wow, that's a lot of reshoots. Well, honestly, I'm sure the movie will be much better for it. He seems like a good director, and the new SW movies haven't disappointed me so far, so I'll assume that Kennedy knew what she was doing by replacing the other directors until I see and judge the movie myself.

I had been kind of wondering how well the stuff Ron Howard shot would fit in with what Lord and Miller shot since they have very different styles, but it the rumors are true it sounds like that probably won't be an issue.

Have you never seen a Ron Howard movie? No Apollo 13, Splash, A Beautiful Mind, or the three Robert Langdon movie?

I've seen one Ron Howard movie, the Jim Carrey How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Its admittedly not good, but its a bit of a guilty pleasure. Besides that the only one of those I've heard of is Apollo 13, and its not a topic I'm that interested in (and its way too long for the subject matter for me to watch). His other stuff, doing a quick wikipedia check, has absolutely nothing I'd be even remotely willing to watch, which isn't a knock about him he just generally makes movies I have no interest in.

Then you're missing out on many great films.
