This is the final cruise of the Starship Enterprise under my command. This ship and her history will shortly become the care of another crew. To them and their posterity will we commit our future. They will continue the voyages we have begun and journey to all the undiscovered countries, boldly going where no man - where no one - has gone before

The only Next Gen films worth watching are FC and NEM. Honestly though, I'd rather just watch episode of the series.

I think of my Trek Film List a little differently because I group them together in clusters when I rank the movies closely and then space out the ones that are clearly separated.

Interestingly, each of my top 3 favorite Trek movies belongs to a different film franchise. After that though, the different franchises kind of group together until the end of the list.

Nice to see Trek 09 low on peoples list where it belongs, I remember that film getting so much praise on here when it came out and couldn't for the life of me figure out why (just because it was new and popular?). I think it's probably my favourite Star Wars film though, nice cameos by Kirk and crew and even the Enterprise!

I consider "Star Trek" to be THE best of all the movies.

It's funny how some people seem to let "reviews" shape their own tastes on movies, music, etc. Sometimes in a reactionary way.

I found it to be a fresh take on the material, and I thought the time travel alt-universe plot (which is not something I'm normally massively keen on) was a genius move to reboot the franchise whilst linking it to what came before. Bar the odd sloppy bit of writing it gets top marks from me.
