You're attributing words I never wrote. I don't think anyone should slavishly write positive things about something they don't like. And fair reviews are good for writers, directors, etc.So if we question what choices they make we hate it and are creating a toxic atmosphere? Damn, that sounds like it was written for Trump!
They weren't spending half of the season telling a story from the Borg or Dominion's perspective.
If someone doesn't like something, it is logical they move on to something that they prefer: maybe register a complaint or two, at best.
That doesn't bypass common human decency. The difference being this is part of a larger franchise.

Damar's story at the end of the series was one of my favorite parts.Actually, sizeable chunks of the sixth and seventh seasons of DS9 were shown from the perspective of the Dominion, in the form of Dukat, Damar, Weyoun and the Female Changeling. And the latter two were never shown to have any major redeeming qualities (unless you count the faulty clone of Weyoun), Dukat only had one or two mildly redeeming aspects that soon gave way to him being 100% evil, and Damar remained an almost totally antagonistic character until he turned on the Dominion in mid-late S7.
Well....he was French :P
Nah - that would be a two-part episode at least.Seems to be. Otherwise the war would have been solved before the closing credits rolled in episode one.
In TNG's - "The Battle" we found Picard won't fire back regardless of what's happening (and is willing to let his crew suffer and die for that principle. It cost him the Stargazer too. But, after the inquest, what does Starfleet do? Give him the 1701-D.This isn't even a slow burn question.. it's just a simple revelation. Lorca is the Captain of Discovery and we found out he is known for killing a previous crew. That's not a good look.
So we're not allowed to comment if we don't love the show? Talk about wanting an echo chamber.
RACISIM against the French people!!! For shame!!!

O'RLY? Go rewatch TOS - "The Doomsday Machine". Commodore Decker pulled rank on Spock an d there appeared to be no regulation preventing that - even after he already lost the Constellation and the entire crew. You'd think there would be something is teh regs about not being able to assume Command again until a board of inquiry - but, obviously not.People, it’s a Trek trope to threaten to destroy your own ship. It’s even a Trek trope to destroy your own ship. It’s NOT a Trek trope to destroy your own ship with the crew STILL INSIDE!
And if the captain does as is the lone survivor Starfleet certainly won’t award him by giving him command of a brand new highly classified ship!!!

Along with McCoy leaving out that Decker was found in a state of shock, which should have ruled his assuming command out as well. Then the episode would have been shorter! That would have been extremely inconvenient for the story they were trying to tell, though.
