Spoilers The game changing Voq theory

If you want this theory to the true, it's real easy to interpret Choose Your Pain's content to support it.

Independently and objectively, though, there's very little 'there' there.

I dunno, seems like "evidence" to me. Maybe not enough evidence to be conclusive as of yet, but short of the show actually showing it to us or telling us, what would you consider to be real evidence?
 
Tyler might not even know he’s lying. It could be brain washing. Or if it is Voq he could be a sleeper agent, he may not know he’s a Klingon.
 
With all the meta stuff regarding the strange actor billing, Latif's original casting as a Klingon who is T'Kuvma's successor, the hinkiness about both actors having Iqbal in their name and NO show PR for Javid Iqbal or his supposedly pivotal character. Plus the fact that Latif's facial features match Voq's heavy makeup. Plus the obvious hints in this latest episode, Tyler lying about L'Rell, the timeline etc. considering where Voq and L'Rell were plotwise the last time we saw them...it all adds up to evidence. It's not proof yet. But it's mounting.
 
Also in last nights After Trek they Kenneth Mitchell who plays Kol and Mary Chieffo who plays L'rell were the guests, but not the actor playing Voq. In fact they didn't even mention the actor playing voq.
 
I'd love it if this turned out to be an elaborate way of pulling a bigger reveal on us. Make the Voq thing a bit easier to figure out so that no one suspects that Tilly is a Klingon. ;)

That makes too much sense.

It has to be true.
 
Wikipedia and Memory Alpha list Shazad Latif's whole birth name now. That wasn't the case before. He was born as Shazad Khaliq Iqbal. That middle name is new. And Khaliq Iqbal sounds practically the same as Javid Iqbal. As it is a Pakistani name and they don't use the Roman alphabet there, Javid and Khaliq are likely just different transcriptions of the same Pakistani name with Latin letters.

I don't know if you're serious about Tilly but I actually think it's quite likely that she's a sleeper agent. The Voq thing is to obvious. They must know fans figure out these sort of things.

The entire crew isn’t going to be Klingon agents. I think you’ll have one on ship. Maybe one in Starfleet Command.

For example, there are four Scott Levy's on IMDB. Two of them are regularly working under the same name - and two with credits that can be counted on one hand. I'm not sure if any of them would be SAG members - and I'd guess Javid Prime isn't.

As it's not a real name, I'd guess it'd bypass the rulebook.

Discovery appears to be a union show, which means they can't use non-union actors in speaking roles.

Also, this theory may go a long way in explaining the Klingon makeup redesign. They would have never been able to pull off a Voq/Tyler reveal in the old makeup. If this is absolutely pivotal to their storyline, their only choice would have been to change the makeup so drastically that the actor underneath is completely unrecognizable.

I'm still not a fan of the new makeup, but if the showrunners are to be believed in their assertion that the redesign is for story reasons and not just change the for the sake of change, here's the reason.

I've been thinking this too. With TNG and ENT era Klingons, they might be too easily recognisable, but with full face masks, it's easier to hide an actor. When we saw these Klingons in early shots, I was just hoping they were different types of Klingons, and other would be more like the TNG era ones (albeit updated somewhat). I too think they went too far in the redesign.
