I think the black badges will turn out to be very ominous...
I think they'll just turn out to be Starfleet Intelligence. Or some sort of special forces equivalent.
They're just the people assigned to protect the secret stuff.

Voyager did have Bolians aboard. It would be funny to be aboard the first Federation ship that had blue alert *and* an Andorian officer onboard.
In TSFS, the bridge lights on the refit NCC-1701 went blue when Spacedock took control for the approach. It would be funny to be aboard the first Federation ship that had blue alert *and* an Andorian officer onboard.
They used to do "Black Alert" on the Enterprise-D every time Riker got done using the holodeck. It consisted of all the new ensigns having to comb the holodeck with black lights and mops.

No it hasn't.
The Search for Spock isn't the TOS era? alrighty then.
No. TOS = The Original Series. Movies are not part of TOS.
To me, the "TOS era" (note era, not denoting just one thing) covers The Cage through to the opening sequence of Generations, or 2254 to 2293, or the adventures of the 1701 through launch of 1701-B.
Condition Green is a thing in a lot of tie-in media and even the odd green underlit background in the live action stuff.
Actually, Condition Green doesn't actually mean that. It's a code to indicate that the speaker is under duress, so whoever is on the other end of the line can be alerted that there's a threat.
Black Alert Matters or "BAM!"What are you expecting a "Black Drives Matter" campaign?![]()
