I thought it was a ganglion, must be a special type but Michael was giving him grief over it. I guess it is part of his 'breeding'.*ahem* that's fear ganglia. Danglia? Uh oh, his fear bits are dangling out again.. Hum...

You've got me there (I have zero medical knowledge beyond Dr. Google). I just remember having this ganglion on my skinny wrist when I was a kid and Dad talking about hitting it with a Bible except we didn't have a heavy Bible but a rather scary looking Webster Dictionary. (Dad wasn't a doctor either).Personally, I always mistake a pre-ganglionic fiber for apost-ganglionic nerve.
No, what works really well is constantly complaining about something completely pointless and insignificant and letting everyone in the forum know that that is a very easy way to irritate you. That'll surely get them to stop!
Oh man starmike.. can I offer you some advice? Just roll with it and try not to let the STD thing hit a nerve. It's going to happen. Some will use it and some will go Disco and I'm pedantic and will type out the whole Discovery word.I would think that someone who's a mod would want a little more order in their space. People calling it STD are trolling (and admitted doing so). But, I guess that doesn't matter here.
I lost the humor of "STD" because my work uses it to mean "short term disability". After a few years, you get all the giggles out from hearing that "so-an-so is out on STD". I tend to STD for Star Trek: Discovery because TV/DVR guides have used DSC for Discovery Channel for so long that it is my first association. And Disco is a non-starter...I'm fine calling it STD. We're taking back what was meant as an insult and through using it seriously, making it no longer funny or mean.
Order like me asking you multiple times to get over your petty and overly defensive obsession with bossing people around about not using a silly acronym for the show and you stubbornly refusing? Order like me telling you that it's not your place as a poster to accuse others of trolling? That kind of order?I would think that someone who's a mod would want a little more order in their space. Wouldn’t we assume STV refers to, ahem, ST V. As in, the 5th movie.

You know that we can look up reported posts by the name of the person who reported it, right? You haven't reported anyone for trolling or for using the term "STD", so there's not been a chance for us to decide whether or not your assessment was valid or should be rejected.Let me put it another way.
If people here are calling it "STD" to troll, why allow that to continue? I've been running forums for over 20 years and that kind of behavior looks like the people here that run the forum don't care. Going after people that want the forum to be nice and friendly is not the way to go. I've reported trolls and the trolling continues.
Last I checked, this is a Star Trek forum, not a Troll Star Trek forum. Is that how you want people on the outside to see this place?

Oh, FFS, some people calling it 'STD' is a minor annoyance at most, but several treads being derailed by whining about it is becoming rather intolerable. Just stop. (And yes, I realise that I'm now part of the derail, but it's not like the rails were even visible any longer.)
Yeah, except I never reported for trolling due to using STD, nor did I say I did. I just said I reported for trolling. I'm sure you can check THAT and validate it.
BTW: That's TWICE you came after me for saying something I didn't.
Also, I never got a PM from you. So there's THAT.
I apologize to everyone for ever bringing it up.
Have there been latin titles before? The only one I can think of offhand is the one involving Section 31 on DS9. I do like that they've put a lot of thought into the titles. It's like an extra easter egg. Something to speculate about before the episode airs.

As per IMDB trivia: "Dramatis Personae", "Sub Rosa", "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges", "Ex Post Facto", "Non Sequitur", "Terra Nova" and "Vox Sola".
