Here we go.
Ep 8: Si vis pacem, para bellum
From Homer's Iliad.Ep 7: Magic to make the sanest man go mad
From Vegetius.Ep 8: Si vis pacem, para bellum
From the saying "Into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul," often attributed to John Muir (but I'm not sure if it was really him or somebody else).Ep 9: Into the forest I go
Yes I can see him saying that! But the title is also Very DS9 /Section 31! Nothing says war more than quoting from a bit of everyone's favourite Roman - Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus! (Thanks Wiki!) Just glad they are not using the same Sun Tzu quote every single Sci-Ft show uses when they are in a war situation! Thanks for posting these!translated to "If you want peace, prepare for war". That has got to be Lorca.
Lethe means forgetfulness or concealment, also oblivion.
From Homer's Iliad.
That's the ep that David Alan Mack was raving about isn't it?Specifically Book XIV. "There is the heat of Love, the pulsing rush of Longing, the lover's whisper, irresistible—magic to make the sanest man go mad."
Also, "Lethe" refers to the River of Forgetfulness in Hades. Which is why the memory-wiped inmate in "Dagger of the Mind" was named that. The episode probably isn't connected to her except through the shared allusion.
"Si Vis Pacem..." is episode 8, so it should be Kirsten Beyer's episode.
I'm guessing this isn't the "Into the Woods" musical episode I was hoping for.Ep 9: Into the forest I go

Yes, it was - he felt episode 8 was very good. That's the ep that David Alan Mack was raving about isn't it?
So far, he's right apart from TOS. Perhaps you're forgetting some of the previous season ones.He also said that the first season of Discovery was the best first season of any Trek show ever.![]()

Wow. Encounter at Farpoint, The Naked Now, Code Of Honor and the Last Outpost really beat 1-4 of Discovery for you?I enjoyed the first seasons of TNG and Enterprise a heck of a lot more than Discovery, thus far.
