TOS characters in Discovery

With Sarek, Harry Mudd and now Amanda Grayson set to appear in the first season of Discovery, which other TOS characters do you think will pop up during the rest of the season?

With me I wouldn't mind seeing Kor (since it was revealed that Kol was part of the House of Kor in episode 4), Kang and Koloth make a cameo appearance.

Quinto as Spock would be the easiest and most (pun intended) logical one to show up.

Captain Pike would also be a good character to recast.

The big issue is there's plenty of Star Trek characters who COULD show up but not many that are really interesting.

I'm a BIG TOS fan and I agree with this. I'd prefer no other TOS characters appear. I could see maybe Spock in a flashback; but during the war and having them step onto and meet members of the U.S.S. Discovery crew on screen...IMO no real reason to do it.

That said, having the 1701 be on screen in a Fleet Battle sequence (under Pike) would be totally acceptable and logical. No reason a Starship Class/Constitution Class Heavy Cruiser would not be an active participant in wartime actions.

I agree. If they were to cast Quinto for a Spock appearance, it would only add credence to the belief of some that this is the JJ-verse. Why fan the flames of that argument needlessly?

I also believe another Trek film is rumored, or announced and I believe it's rumored or announced that he is Spock for that.

Well, they have a different Sarek and the Klingon backstory is incompatible with Into Darkness, so they're already well beyond reality. Let us enjoy Quinto as Spock while they go bonkers, because if it's not this it'll be a nacelle cap or something.

I believe one of the Klingons is from "House of Kor", which suggests that it's likely he might show up. Either that, or "Kor" is as common a Klingon name as "Kim" is a Korean one...

The series needs a multi-arc exploration on the origins of Doctor Sevrin and his followers.

Perhaps the Kor we know is also a member of the House of Kor, but he isn't the original Kor who started the house in the first place.

We have seen how Klingon names occur repeatedly in family lines, such as Worf and Duras.

I'd like to see Karl Urban as Bones, but I doubt we're going to see any of those actors because it would just confuse people.
