In the lap of squalor I assure you.
The audio novel that came out recently had a homosexual lurking within.

I wonder if that will stick?

yeah not seeing the purpose - we had the video version with Baker doing link narration, the version with the 8th doctor, and the audio book.

Also perhaps the link page should be flagged as NSFW given the pictures of Lisa Appleton that are there.

I posted about this story a couple of months ago, although we didn't have confirmation that Tom Baker was returning. Really, we still don't since I don't trust the Sun for shit.

Best to do it while Tom Baker is still an available resource.

ETA: I love that Baker wore his hat and scarf while recording his lines. Does he do it for the Big Finish Productions as well?

Well, Tom Baker's been doing all those Big Finish stories for years, so it makes sense he'll finish this one.

Although I'm not thrilled that resources will be wasted on a story that I've already enjoyed on animated form (love him or hate, Levine did make a proper version of Shada to see, and I enjoyed it immensly) and would rather they spent money on a Troughton or Hartnell story instead... nevertheless, its Tom Baker completing his half-finished story. So, for that alone, totally worth it.

Plus, I hope they really ditch that awful McCulough score. Horrible.

Looks promising. The clips were very brief, but it seems like the facial features have more movement than most of the animated episode for the lost episodes.

The mouth movements are far better than Levine's... but at the same time, it looks more cartoony than that?

I liked the Paul McGann version, not sure we really need this.

I loved the Levine version that I saw, but I will buy this, I guess. In any case, we do need it, because its Tom Baker in his last "live-action" performance as the Doctor. Certainly a better story to bow with than Logopolis, even if out of order.

There have also been details release, including a cover art for the BD/DVD:

Also, anyone cought up with the Levine drama? He feels betrayed by the BBC for releasing a version different from his.

He has been told repeatedly by many people, including BBC employees, that legally they could never buy his version. Being Levine he of course completely ignores this and carries on complaining.

I still want to see his 12 part adaptation of The Eight Doctors.

Also he told Sylvester McCoy he was filming DVD extras when in fact it was a private project he pitched after (and was rejected because it wasn't good enough quality for BBCDVD)

I flat out refuse to watch anything Ian Levine produces. He gives Whovians a bad name every time he opens his mouth.

This is another reason. Fuck Ian Levine.

OK most of this isn't exactly fit for DVD but I hate how he teased all his projects, with classic actors, then declared he couldn't release them!

And when things don't go his way he talks to people like shit. Vile scum, don't care if he saved all the missing episodes.

At least if The Daleks didn't exist we have the movie. By now someone would have edited it to be a Hartnell story as opposed to Cushing!

Levine's "goodbye cruel world" post on Gallifrey Base is marvelous stuff:

    And, about his other projects...

Me too. That and "Gallifrey," a story from Colin Baker's lost season that exists solely in Levine's mind. :)

Oh, how I wish I could believe this is the last time we'll ever hear from Ian Levin about Doctor Who or anything else, but I'm not holding my breath. The drama queen needs his audience.
