Retro villains you'd like to see?

will be making an appearance, but I daresay he wouldn't be the first choice of many fans when it comes to villains from TOS we'd like to see. What are some characters (or races) that YOU'D have chosen?

The Xindi, just to bring them into continuity. Otherwise, there is a few hundred years gap between the 22nd century and Battle of Procyon V.

Would also like to see the Xindi. Perhaps we could also see first contact between the Federation and the Cardassian Union. We don't know when that occurred, though there was a Cardassian-named drink in the reboot movie.

Weren't they in Enterprise?

They were in Enterprise. They never caught the name Borg, they skirted around that issue.
They also never said Ferangi either, shouldn't have done it, but not technically a canon violation.
