I really don't wish to spend money to get a new CPU and stuff as my stuff still works well.

Can you still get AM3+ motherboards?

I have ram slots with the clips only on one side and I broke the clip of one of the slots. The ram is firmly in place but I'm now a bit worried about the board going wonky. Should that warrant a change?

I really don't have or wish to spend money on new processors and stuff when what I have still works so can you still get AM3+ motherboards or are they now becoming very rare?

They're both used........ I would be wary of buying anything like that and considering shipping if it dies.

I've found some on Amazon and marked them already. Thanks for the links though. That's the kind of boards I was looking for. Aussie retailers seem to be very few and far between.

Hmm, I see new boards for sale as well at those links. Anyway, seems like you're sorted.

I've run boards with broken memory clips before, and even PCI or ISA expansion cards that couldn't be screwed or locked down because they were the wrong size for the case. It isn't optimal, but it's okay - but I prefer to orient the computer so the mainboard is lying face up and gravity is helping to hold things in if I have to do that, if at all possible.

Well I am lucky then my case has the board mounted horizontal. The drives and PSU are under the board
