Is this a f&#@&*/% joke? It would have probably been an awesome 5 minute debate on how the "Human" Geneva convention worked and how the Klingons peed all over it and whether it was the right course of action. But then again, the Geneva convention is an internationally agreed pact between earth nations. Klingons do not appear to believe in such formalities as well as there was no formal end of hostilities in that system. Additionally, the Klingons also violated such regulations, although they probably would ignore the federation's claim.
The best part is that people will lose it, and that is glorious.
The enemy not abiding to the Geneva convention or what ever version the federation has isn’t an excuse to ignore it.
If any nation today went to war with a nation that didn’t sign it, they would still be required to follow it.
I’m thinking the writer of this episode just hasn’t read the law.
Because when the enemy commits crimes - or might be about to - that makes it okay for us, too? I'm impressed by your subtle grasp of ethics and morality.
Yes, the Shenzhou crew committed war crimes. This is not the only article to point this out.
But hey, our heroes killed a lot of Klingons, so let's just make excuses and cheer them on. Star Trek Lives!![]()
