I do t know....Nemesis involved a bald tit that was allegedly Picard, and Troi getting mentally violated which is usually Rikers job....though that's pretty even stevens, they probably alternate who is going to be violated and put it in the schedule when they have all those padds in Ten Forward...and Tomalak seemed to have been replaced by Girl Romulan Admiral (actually I liked that character, but for humour purposes..) ...are we sure it wasn't some kind of parallel universe gender swap episode?
(I think only Red Dwarf has ever done the gender swapped universe thing hasn't it? )

That was my reaction. I'd call the concept bullshit, but it would be redundant given we're talking about mushrooms.
It could be something that could be fun, but Discovery doesn't seem to be wired that way. So it'll be super serious.

You're right, content is a universal human right and should be free.
Why would I want to watch one episode of a show (that is a 2 part episode)? Maybe when I run out of things to watch on Netflix I will give it a go.

Sorry to say that even if he seems like "one of us" that taste is still subjective.
For instance, I still can't reconcile the way Leonard Nimoy embraced the Kelvin-verse. I have to imagine part of his blessing came from the flattery of him being given cameos. I mean, he knows the Spock character better than anyone. Did he really think Spock's portrayal in Into Darkness with the cringe-inducing "Khaaaan!" and the beat-down was true to Spock's character?
Likewise, I wonder how much actual influence Meyer has on Discovery as I fail to see his fingerprints in what I've seen so far. And Meyer is the one who was quite critical of how the Kelvinverse seemed to change the shape of the vessel that holds the Trek essense, so to speak.
So there are cases of people whom I personally would be inclined to trust as an arbiter of whether something is or isn't "true Trek" who seem to sort of contradict themselves.
The show has Rainn Wilson as Harry Mudd.
The use of both the actor and the character connotes to me that the show could include fun aspects.
