I watched the first season after it already aired and I thought 'The main cast is only three people!?!???', she is stunning. And I agree, Alison feels like someone completely different.

I realized something watching that blooper reel, seeing so many of the Ledas in quick succession. I always had trouble remembering that Alison was played by the same actress as the others, because she just seemed the least like them somehow. I always figured it was as much due to the bangs as to Maslany's characterization. But even with the new haircut, Alison is still remarkably distinct from the others.

When Alison announces this season she is going away for a while I was thinking "oh, that's a shame, I wonder if the actress had to take a break this season.."



After FIVE SEASONS!!! Still. Wow. The acting and writing chops of this show holy shit.

This show provided the best job security for a lead actress ever.

But perhaps more uncertainty than usual about any given lead character's fate. They could've killed off, say, Sarah at any time and still continued with Maslany as the lead. I'm even a bit surprised that all five, err, lead Ledas made it out intact (aside from Rachel's eye and Alison's ponytail). I think the only Leda we lost this season was M.K.

I gotta say the Coda was very satisfying. Too many shows end too abruptly or just badly. This one did it just right. But I spent the whole time expecting some bad guy or other to suddenly appear and execute everyone on the patio.

For a moment, also, I was afraid the last image I'd have of this show was going to be Donnie's strip tease.

That coda was tense because we got to see Sarah finally grieve and I was scared what was going to happen. In thinking about this finale some more, I think they could have made a two hour finale to really wrap up things, but I still really appreciated that the last half really did focus on the characters because the show was strongest in the characters, if not in plot.

Going into the season, I was ready to kill off Rachel but then we got the Rachel episode (Which I thought was the best episode of the season by the way) and that all changed. It was also why I kind of felt bad for her being alone in the finale. Rachel kind of lost everything in exchange for freedom so I was curious what she would do with it.

I still can't get over Alison's new hairstyle. That seemed so strange to introduce it when they did.

I take it as they wanted to demonstrate, as part of concluding her personal story arc, that she has made dramatic changes to her mindset and lifestyle, and what better way to have a visual representation of that than radically changing her hair?

Oh I understand why they did it. I almost wish they had done it earlier though. Also it takes some time to get used to.

I watched the episode again last night and the two birthing scenes might be a top 3 favorite of the series for me. The way it intercut the last and present and just the support and love Sarah had with Helena at that moment. This was their same one who shot her at the end of season 1 and now they shared special bond. It was really an amazing scene all the way around.

A friend of mine binged watched it for the first time this week. Literally just watched it in a week. Too hot where he is to do anything besides go to beach, plus he had two hurricane days, but it missed.

He liked it but had the same issues as many here...

Was everything really over with the Dyad or Neolution?
Why the end was so simple after all the drama with Kira, the babies and the clones?
Why miss S had to die at the end of the show?

He enjoyed the themes, the story of each clone. I told him to watch Wonderfalls next, then The Expanse.
