The Astromechs all seem to be like that on some level. Chopper, Artoo, BB....all of them it seems.

Is Artoo still suing Richard Dreyfuss over something or other? Never been much of a one to follow celebrity gossip. That said, I did hear a rumour the reason he only had two lines in TFA is because he had to go back into rehab mid-way though shooting.

Speaking of rehab, I hear the Gonk Droid was in and out of rehab throughout the 90s because of his drinking problem. Then again, Chopper reportedly showed up on set with a massive hangover for his Rogue One cameo.

I thought that was how Chopper gets into character.

Chopper's got some personality disorders which often causes confusion among the others who can't tell if he's really genuinely flying off the handle or if he's a method actor really into the part.

Donald Glover says that the whole director switch situation has made him feel like he was "the baby in a divorce, or the youngest child".
I can imagine it has to be a weird situation for actors when you have this kind of director switch part way through a production, especially when it sounds like the different directors have very different styles.
