It's not about fault but he put it out there.. why? Publicity, stating the obvious, getting in first. Stick something out in the public domain that narrows things down to a one group and don't be surprised if they react.Which, isn't Issac's fault. He's just observing, and opining.
The guy then replies with: 'No, 'cause these green things and the shape are more than enough information for me, I've made up my mind: I HATE this!'
I mean it does, but I have heard several Americans (they happened to be American, don't mean to unfairly generalize here) say things to that effectSounds crazy?
I find nothing more loathesome than a self-hating fan.
The thing with that idea is that CBS doesn't want fans to watch, they want fans to watch in a very specific way. It's redundant in the end, unless by some miracle the die-hards do stop watching and their numbers impact revenue. Doubt if that will happen.
That has got to be the worst attempt at an analogy, I've ever read.![]()
Not necessary, thanks @SPCTRE - other posters aren't fair game for ridicule. Holster your memes.

How is going from his comments to hoping his character bites it to "hate" more make sense? I'm so confused.Hopefully his character will bite the dust and then he'll have more time to hate on the fans.
Trek fans really relish the idea of the thing they love failing. It's super weird. If this show bombs he can keep himself warm at night knowing he spoke the obvious. It's kind of funny in a way, people should be flattered he wanted to bait them.
I don't think I've seen this in any other fandom. At least not to the degree you see it in Trek fandom. It is indeed super confusing. The best thing CBS can do is really expand the Trek fanbase and keep expanding it and providing new and different experiences. We've seen what happens when they stick to the same formula over and over again.Trek fans really relish the idea of the thing they love failing. It's super weird.
