Perfect title for Moffat's last story... an encapsulation of his time on the show.

Looks interesting, considering not much was said in it.

But hopefully the show will get rid of the stupid attempts of humor when Chibnall takes over.

That transition was beautiful... David Bradley really knows how to channel William Hartnell. It's one of the best casting choices Moffat ever did. How lovely it would be to see David reshoot a lost Episode from the First Doctor. I bet "Marco Polo" would look amazing in HD and in Colour.

I had to replay that opening sequence because I first thought, "Ah, Hartnell...no, wait, Bradley. Hang on a minute!" Fascinating segue!

And yet, ironically, didn't. He cast him because he was so good as Hartnell in Adventure in Time and Space. Otherwise he'd likely not have been a First Doctor to talk about.

Good trailer and decent episode name though I would of liked "Twelfth Night" maybe.

Doctor Who has always had stupid humour, It's part of the charm.

You're right, he had nothing to do with Bradley's Casting in the Biopic. I automatically assumed Moffat was somehow involved with An Adventure in Space and Time because he and Mark Gatiss do so much Television together anyway. Still, I'm glad Steven brought that casting choice to Doctor Who itself.

Is that supposed to be Polly holding the First Doctor's glowy hand?

I think it is a safe bet that the christmas special is going to be super nostalgic and emotional. Get the tissues ready!

With the likelihood of ever seeing another found episode around 0.01%, what the hell. Or at least a "new" adventure for #1.

It's supposed to be the Tenth Planet first Doctor, so his regeneration is a'comin. Maybe #1 is trying to put off his regeneration as well.

It is Polly. Here is a black-and-white image of her in the last First Doctor story.

Some of this new story will be set someting during the First World War. The soldier facing Mark Gatiss' British soldier is a German soldier.

1914 Christmas truce, anyone? Given Christmas is somehow involved in most Christmas specials.

All right, that's it. If Polly (and presumably Ben) are in this, and Bill and (if rumors are true) Clara are in this, and Doctors now visit/hallucinate their first companions before they regenerate, then unless she's on her own deathbed (God forbid) there is NO EXCUSE for Carole Ann Ford's Susan not to appear here too. Or, if she sadly is too ill to show up by now, bring back Claudia Grant from 'An Adventure in Space and Time' as the young Susan. Give One/Twelve that long-promised reunion before the end. Capaldi's been asking for it, the fans have been asking for it, you had her picture on Twelve's desk - last chance, Moffat.

And while we're at it, William Russell. I loved "The Day of the Doctor," perhaps more than most, but it's unforgivable he wasn't in that.

^^I would have gladly traded in Tom Baker's cameo for a William Russell one.
Don't count on it. Humour has always been present in some manner in Doctor Who.
