Guys, who's your favorite Trek female?

Ent T'Pol , Captain Erika Hernandez, TOS Uhura TNG Deanna Troi &Beverly Crusher Ds9 Kira Nerys and Jadzia Dax. Voyager Kes and B'elanna Torres

How about Naomi Wildman. Maybe the best child character in all of Trek or third best if we include Jake and Nog as child characters. I personally don't. I sort of see them as teenagers and then later as young adults.

Samantha Wildman and Seska also deserve notice. Seska is especially a good choice. She should have been "Voyagers" version of either Garak or Dukat, depending on what you wanted to do with her once you moved on from the Kazon.

ToS - Uhura
The Next Generation - Ro
DS9 - Kira
VoY - Seven
ENT - Hoshi

Honorable mention for T'Pau (Ent)

Edit : overall - Kira

A bit like the sheer hated there is for Nemesis, the love for Ezri is a bit OTT IMHO. Not that Ezri was a bad character, it's just someone like Ro Laren is a far more refreshing and rewarding figure. Ezri really doesn't draw my attention for a thread such as this.

And I wouldn't have replaced Jadzia so late in the series run and would've more properly managed the airtime that Vic and the Ferengi wound up getting in order to do more justice to the series-crowning DW arc -- which struggled for space with alot of lightish episodes.

I get most of your criticisms of the character, but what do you mean by "pure"?

"Pure" in the puritanical sense?

You'd have to ask the guys who used that term. I suppose it's about being petite, cute, innocent, agreeable, not having any rough edges. You know, the way some nerds put women on a pedestal as part of their sexist attitudes and expect us to be pure and perfect, and when we disappoint, we're "sluts" (which I've seen Jadzia referred as).

Okay, I get what you mean.

Purely anecdotally speaking, I've seen tons of Ezri criticism in the DS9 forum as well, so I'm not under the impression that there is widespread love for the character. Then again, maybe the guys you're referring to were a very vocal minority back then.

Oh yeah, probably just a particularly toxic minority that always had to combine their love for pure&sweet Ezri with some shaming of Jadzia.

There was a kid on the old Star Trek.com forums that LOVED Ezri with the devotion that only a teenager can manage.
He was a bit strange, but he did manage to make a nice render of Ezri in a TNG movie command uniform. I think in the novels she is now the Captain of the USS Aventine, a slipstream capable starship.

My favorite female Trek character is Kathryn Janeway.

I love that she got her own spin-off TV show about how she was imprisoned while time travelling, posing as a Russian-American.

That show is so much better when you go into it with this premise.
"The future is the past, the past is the future, it all just gives me a headache."

Not a Voyager fan, but Seven was probably the most developed. I'll give a shout-out to Rand as an honorable mention since I've always loved she and Kirk's interactions.

Majel Barrett Roddenberry, who arguably has contributed more to the franchise than any other woman. I quite liked her as Number One.

Michelle Forbes makes everything better.

Nicole de Boer I had a soft spot for.
