Which Villain Are You Most Like?

Farscape One

Admiral
Admiral
How many of us have truly looked at villains and seen a part of themselves within them?

I count a villain as recurring if they appear 3 times or more, which are...

Cardassian
Maquis
Jem'Hadar
Vorta
Changeling
Brunt (Though not a species, I felt his presence was imposing enough to earn him a place on this list.)
Klingon (season 4-halfway season 5)
Breen

Those are the ones I have off the top of my head. Any others I missed that fit the parameters srated above?

Tell me which one or ones are you most like and why?

All of them except Brunt

Borath: passive aggressive, arrogant, but not as clever as Weyoun nor as engaging as Kilanna (or Kilanna2, for that matter).

He only appeared once. In fact, other than Weyoun, I think all Vorta appeared only once. But that's a good idea... finding a specific example of a species.

I have to say, I never saw him as a villain. An anti-hero, perhaps. He doesn't even qualify as a nuisance, since he never really got in the way of the station personnel... with the exception of trying to use the Defiant's weapons to attack the Changelings, but that was understandable, given that he thought his father was killed at the time.

Can you give reasons why Garak is a villain?

I personally love Garak, he is enigmatic, love the way he speaks and pass secret information by making tailoring appointments . But I do have to agree with you he is an antihero more than a villain, but in quite a few occasions he show he's real intention, I.e. When he torture Odo and when he hold quark and the 3 cardassian dessidents at gun point. But in those and other circumstances he changes his mind / heart not because he is good or have good intentions but because the circumstances won't benefit any longer. So in that sense I see him as a villain in the shadows, but I do have to agree with you that he is more of an anti hero, stand corrected thanks

I'd have to go with the Changelings because of how often I've felt like an outsider.

Garak's not a villain in DS9 just because his goals are in line with the heroes, but in another context he could be a villain. Garak is the consummate patriot. He will do what he thinks is in the best interest of Cardassia, even when Carassia disagrees, and especially when the Federation disagrees. He worked for the Federation because they had common enemies in Dukat and the Dominion but he would just as easily work against the Federation.

In terms of DS9... dang, if this were for TNG it'd be simple (nope, I ain't the Borg... :p )

If not Garak, then maybe the Wodi. They're not really truly villains... but are set up so the viewer perceives them as such. It's not a perfect episode, but it's so horribly underrated because of what DOES work and the potential it has...

For myself, I would likely be closer to being the Jem'Hadar.

Very mission driven, have their own sense of honor (yes, they DO have a code and follow it), and are loyal to a fault. And definitely not to be screwed with.

As far as the loyalty, I agree it is forced due the addiction of Ketracel White, but we have seen several examples of loyal Jem'Hadar without the need for the White. Omet'iklan, Ramat'iklan... in my eyes, they proved to be truly loyal soldiers of the Dominion. So if I were to pick a character, I might go with Omet'iklan. (Or Goran'agar, since he is so staunchly loyal to his men. I am that way with my Team at my store.)

About the changelings , they hate solids but rely in them for their protection like the Vorta and Jem'hadar, also I wonder how the changelings became so powerful on the Gama quadrant, there are many species o the GQ but the changelings seems to have the upper hand

When dealing with business contacts who are also idiots, I am definitely channeling Winn. It's all smiles, but you won't miss the contempt.

Not quite Keevan appeard twice if memory serves "Rocks and Shoals" & "The Magnificent Ferengi"

But back to the topic, surely the best villian is the one who makes you think they are not a villian.
