I have the same problems with Photobucket when th all their ads and highjack ware. My machine was infected twice last year grinding me to a halt cause some major delays and setbacks till I got that crap off my machine. Gave me last night loading it from my laptop. About a year or 2 ago I set up a flikr account to bypass this problem. But since then I forgot my account name and password. I guess I will have to set up a new account with them again. In the meantime don't click on the image. Does the image display here so you can see it as I tagged it here. I assumed if I copied and pasted the image tag it would display here. I see it. Does anyone else have any problems seeing the image within my post? I'll try to pm you the image.
I see the image here. I was just guessing that there was a larger version at the link. If I never have to go to PB than this is fine. (I'm liking Imgur these days. But I don't know what horrors they are visiting on me and my viewers when they visit.)
Photobucket has become pretty much unusable. It is dreadful. I recently made a Imgur account when I wanted to repost my bridge analysis image to a thread. It was already on Photobucket but I couldn't get any sort of link that would display it directly in a thread. I have also lost the ability to load any enlarged image in PB. Tallguy, is there some reason I shouldn't use Imgur? I picked it over Flickr because Google already has enough of everyone's data... M.

Wow, I'm really impressed by your work. If you're looking for alternative image hosting, I use and recommend sta.sh by deviantart. You need a deviantart account, then just enter to sta.sh and upload, you can then show the full images using the link, with no hassle at all. I used Photobucket before (like, several years ago), and it's a completely different experience.

Next McMaster to 9PDF overlay comparison...the view screen. The worst offender besides the ceiling dome for inaccuracy in the McMaster bridge plans. Again in this image this one does not reflect the 9PDF view screen revision to be scaled down to 7ft 3 inches height. The drawing for that will be done after the physical build of the outer ring station as I mentioned earlier.
McMaster did the big Fesarius blueprint right? He put the production saucer on the curvy Enterprise/Achernar secondary hull--a graceful combination.

There was a recent discussion concerning the Jeffries Tube angle and I felt it deserved a little more close attention. When I lost my image archive when my new hard drive crashed in 2014 I had to scramble to rebuild my reference library for the TOS Trek sets and all accompanying related reference. But one image slipped past me.... this one. McCoy image I would like to thank Feek61 for bringing this image to my attention since it is a full unobstructed view floor to ceiling of the Jeffries Tube wall panel. Egg on my face I missed this one when I was rebuilding my image reference library and not remembering it when reviewing which images would be best to use for this. And in the wake of the discussion a fresh revisit to this would be good since I left it in 2014. And since there was a difference of opinion as to what the tube angle is I need to give this attention before I build the finalized proof. In 2014 I was scratching my head searching for a image of the Jeffries tube head on to make a template to cut out the hole in the wall. I did a profile diagram on cardstock of the angles 90 degrees to 0 to index the angle. Based on what I was able to cobble together with that graph the result I came up with was 53 degrees. I then used the following image to trace the tube face against the wall. Image of Spock crouching in front of tube Just to play it safe I called and discussed the problem and showed my friend Ken Gliem the image and he responded that Based off the image I provided I had the correct tube face but the wrong angle. ( he heads and runs a electron microscope lab for a major corporation ) He said the angle was 51 degrees. I then resolved when I build the finalized proof of the Jeffries Tube to build it as he said...51 degrees. Then came this last weekend's discussion really in the discussion I mentioned the tube was 53 degrees but forgot until later in the discussion to correct myself. But I did mention Ken's input on this. Coming out of the discussion I felt it was necessary to revisit this and do more precise measure to confirm or deny the results. I am not interested in who is right or wrong. I am interested in only what a detailed measurement yielded. And a revisit would show where that train went off the rails or verify the result. So after asking Ken on the phone this weekend for the tube face chart he provided that I lost when I lost the drive, he said he could no longer find the chart. He recommended measuring the height of the tube height against the wall to determine it's angle. So with that in mind I built this Monday morning before work. Image of tube profile chart I ran the tube profile on the chart for the following angles. 45 degrees which yields a tube height of 4ft 3 inches. Image of chart with 45 degrees I then ran the same check of the chart at 51 degrees with 4ft 9 inches tall. Image of chart at 51 degrees. I then ran the chart at 53 degrees with 5 ft tall. Image of chart at 53 degrees. Then taking the image that Feek provided I marked the top and bottom of the gray panel height with card stock which is 8 feet. I needed to be careful to not measure the inch and 1 /2 the wall panel rests on to not throw the measurement. Image of card mark 8 ft I then took my pica pole and measured it's value on the length of card. The value was 539. Image of 539 note. I then hit the calculator to break down that value to build a ruler. Image of calculator breakdown Images of ruler being built. Then I did a check of the ruler against that 8 foot section to verify ruler. Image of ruler top to bottom of panel. I then checked the tube height which measured 4 ft 9 inches. Image of ruler measuring tube. The result of 4 ft 9 inches when matched against the chart is 51 degrees. So it looks like my scientist friend Ken Gliem was right. And I will build the finalized tube at 51 degrees. This is the second time 51 degrees came up while using a different process to determine the tube angle. I'll go with that since I do not see that as co- incidence. Everyone is free to make of this what they will. I’ll deal with the step measurements later on when I build the corrected final model. That will be the one I draw the build plans from.
I noticed Photobucket dropped it's hammer on me about 3rd party image hosting. Downloaded the entire archive last night and erasing all the pictures and deleting the account. Already set up 2 other accounts and will be uploading the images and swapping the images tags on all the posts to restore the images.
Wow... This is some of the most impressive work I've ever seen. I've been studying the original Star Trek sets for decades but I have no aptitude for math so my efforts have centered on collecting as many details as possible. This is a truly noble effort and I thank you in advance for doing it. Between you, Feek61 of STOS Graphics Project and a few others; I've been able to find almost everything I've been looking for as a modeler and prop builder. Your work is invaluable. Thank you. Hearing that makes it worthwhile to keep working on the project. I guess I am overdue for a update. Had a gentleman who sent me $300 to build the science station based off my research. The vertical parts are cut but the horizontal parts are on hold till my wife recovers from surgery. Using the time to do some fine tuning till I resume the build. Pics to follow. Drawings will be worked off the final build.
She just got home from the hospital and is resting. Let’s just say her “new” gynecologist messed up and tested her wrong and put her on a high dose Progesterone. She’s been heavily bleeding almost non stop since July and totally drained and bedridden when she is not at work. Made her drained and doctor said she was showing signs of anemia. DUH! She went to the daughter of her old Dr who retired who practices and took over straightening that mess out. Took her off the progesterone for about a couple of weeks to detox. The wife is stabilized and is feeling close to normal that she has felt in a long time. After the D&C she is sore and wiped out from the anesthesia. She’s going to be resting all weekend before returning to work. As for the project I’ve been still grappling with converting over the image files from photobucket. So far about 60% of the images have been replaced on this thread. It is a struggle with my old MacBook ( 13 inch 2009 model ) which is sluggish to change over the images. I been meaning to replace more. It’s also why I haven’t been posting updates with current work on the project due to fighting with the laptop and giving priority to replacing the old photos from photobucket. Decided to break down and get a 27 inch iMac used for $350 online that is somewhat newer and hopefully faster and gives me more screen real estate to use to measuring in the project. I plan to hop on that the instant I get my longevity bonus from work on my March paycheck. When I received the cash I instantly started building the science station. I will be building the physical build but he wants to finish it out with paint and buttons and switches and displays. So feek61 heads up you should be receiving a order from him on the window dressing soon if you hadn’t heard from him yet. I recommended you to him for that. Andrew Armstrong is his name. He has been eagerly supportive and patient this whole time. He’s offered to send more cash but I prefer to just piece meal out the expenses as needed to minimize any hit to his wallet. I feel it proper to publicly give credit as a sponsor to help move this project along by commissioning this physical build for his living room. It give me the opportunity to wrap up and feel out the details of the upper moniter frame and its contours and aspect dimensions which has been a big focus of mine. When done we will have a full build from floor to top of the dome of the science station and outer bridge ring deck and rail and ceiling and dome. I plan to photograph the hell out of it from every angle assembled in my front driveway before we pack it up and haul it across country to his house. Part of the deal is that I help move it into his house and set it up for him. Before it leaves here I plan on having the drawings done ready to post here. The drawings will be on the revised profile and frontal build plans top and frontal. Templates and detailed measurements will be there to make it easy as possible for anyone working from the drawings. Once I get the horizontal parts cut things should speed up. Concerning the build Uniderth has been in contact and had some questions about measurements of the platforms. Digging out my 1/12th scale 35.5/40.5 rule out of the outer ring deck I decided to cross check it in 1/4 scale 1/2 of the right side of the bridge 180 degrees to make me more at ease before cutting any more wood. There have been some adjustments that needed to be made to make everything more uniform which was a rude surprise to me. I had some creep of the 17.5 platforms that spread a few inches into the viewscreen platform. Made the correction. Before my wife’s mess trying to fight this past 2 months for her surgery I have been meaning to rerule out in 1/4 scale the corrected platforms and see how they closely fit snugly into the 180 degree space. I plan on cutting those out of poster board and running a tight string to see how they line up on the centerline. I expect to do that in a week or two. When I am satisfied with it matching then I’m jumping back on the science station build as fast as I can.
Um...full-size Science station, even without buttons and unfinished, for $300?!? I'd like to know where you're getting your wood! I'm glad to hear that the problem was not her, per se, but was her doctor. I'm sorry she had to suffer through that.
