September 24th premier!

I wonder if a lot of people will do that, and if so, will CBS take notice.
I'm definitely cancelling during the break, and when Discovery is over I'll cancel until season 2 however long that is. If many do like me, cbs should say "Star Trek is successful but all access isn't" and then extend the Netflix agreement to the us as well or put it on the network in a primetime slot.

Gods willing but I doubt that will happen.

I hope not. I canceled Netflix a couple of months ago as I realized that it wasn't worth paying $13 per month as it moves more and more to original movies and television shows, only one of which I liked at all. Switching from CBS All Access to Netflix would cost me an extra $2 per month. :P

I really hope they don't do this because then I wouldn't be able to watch it. I much prefer the CBSAA and/or Netflix model. I'd have to drive to my parents house every week to watch it. I mean, I love my parents, but that's a long drive, lol.
Why? CBS is free over the air with a digital antenna, access would be a lot more wide.

I don't want to mess around with digital antennas. Like most people, I'm willing to pay for convenience. Streaming All Access on my Xbox or my phone is way more convenient -- that's how I watch everything already, it's all in one place. Hooking up some other bullshit is not something I'd be excited about. I'd rather just pay the six bucks.

EDIT: Also, when DSC isn't on, I can just cancel and re-subscribe when it comes back. But if it were on regular tv, for most of the year I'd have this pointless digital antenna just collecting dust in my house.

Not sure I understand the point in cancelling CBSAA for the break. Saving $6.00? Grinding an axe? Enlighten me.

People are trying to save six bucks. Personally I might cancel, but I also might get back into Good Fight. Or forget. lol

For sure. I watch a lot of TV and none of it is on a traditional network. Who watches broadcast television nowadays, anyway?

Many fans including myself don't like cbs all access just for one show, it's not the $6 it's the principal of the thing. I've never had to pay for trek before

The funny thing is I waste more than six bucks on a lot of worthless things but just the sheer principle of this experiment rubs me the wrong way. If it does really well will they move it to the CBS All Access Premium Tier for $10 or whatever?

That's exactly how I feel... it's not $6, it's the precedent

Well, that Football game is going to play hell with DVR scheduling.
CBS needs to stop feeling that they need 4 hours of Sunday evening programming during the NFL season.

They need to do what FOX does and not have a 1-hour long show scheduled at 7:00 or 7:30. If FOX has a 4:00 NFL game, then they don't begin their Sunday evening TV schedule until 8:00.

However, CBS has this NEED to air an entire episode of 60 Minutes, AND THEN have three more hours of programming no matter when NFL football ends. Maybe during the weeks that CBS has a 4:00 game, they need to make 60 minutes into 30 minutes.
