The last challenge's winner @Bynar0110 chose the following theme for the new one:

The theme for the next challenge: Universal Translator Fails (Cultural misunderstandings escalate rapidly when the universal translator is offline or misinterprets crucial nuances)

Any Star Trek era, canon, AU, Original Characters, No word limit, but reasonable length for contest standards ie no novels etc...if possible

An interesting theme. I'm looking forward to the entries. The preliminary deadline is September 30.

There must be a translator glitch, or something.

I, for one, am just not finding the time. I doubt an extended deadline would help me, but it would probably help others.

You could change it to "treknology fails", widen the scope.

@Bynar0110 got in touch with me and the theme has now been widened to 'Treknology fails'. I'll extend the deadline to the end of September for now.

I'll change the title and the first post accordingly in a moment.
