There was TriCon World Science Fiction Convention, at the Sheraton in Cleveland. Gene screened The Cage and Where No Man Has Gone Before. Shatner was there. Harlan Ellison was there. Elizabeth Pickering modeled Andrea's costume from What Are Little Girls Made Of? That would not be seen on tv until October.

Yeah was fun seeing that Frederik and Carol Pohl were costuming judges. They were not just writers but kind of an editor-power couple. He was busy with Galaxy and If magazines at the time, and she was editing anthologies, I think. There's a picture of them somewhere from that con I think looking out through the lobby like hawks for new talent to acquire.

According to the program, the Trek pilots were supposed to run the final night, Monday the 5th, but according to Asherman's account, it seems they were shifted up a day.
