Garrovick was suggested as one here: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/rewatching-episodes-obsession.279527/

So who else do you think should have recurred? Kevin Riley for a third time of course. Pity TAS didn't have him in it. "The Practical Joker" or "The Lorelei Signal" would have been natural places to have him make another appearance (via a Doohan voiceover, likely, though)

Hmmmm... I would have like to have seen more appearances of Mr. Boma and Yeoman Barrows.

Kevin Riley should have at least reappeared a few more times in season one and Lieutenant Boma perhaps.
Ensign Garrovick as the head of security for season two and maybe Dickerson for season three! But Yeoman Rand should have carried on in a few more season one shows is my best nod!

Yeoman Tonia Barrows. Emily Banks had good chemistry with Kelley and Shatner, but more important, she projected confidence and competence.

Dr. Helen Noel. I even think she could have replaced McCoy and given us a more interesting triad.

I would love to get a physical exam from Dr. Noel.

Not really her specialty. She could get a psychiatric paper or two out of the lot of us, though.

Too bad. She'd probably spend all her time analyzing Crazy Matt.

^^ I was just about to post M'Benga.

    I also enjoyed Riley.

I wish things had worked out with Grace Lee Whitney.

I wish that all the red shirts who got wacked could reappear again, just like Eddie Paskey in Obsession.

Some interesting choices presented thus far. I, too, would have enjoyed more of Boma, Barrows, M'Benga and Noel.

I know I'm kind of cheating with this, but I would have loved to have Ensign Walking Bear from The Animated Series as a recurring character on TOS.

Don't know about replacing McCoy, but seeing her in another few shows wouldn't have been half bad!

Seeing johnnybear reminded me of Plato's Stepchildren which reminded me of...Alexander.

And they could have given Dr. Noel all the screen time she wanted. ::drool::

Now there's a thought: Alexander on the Enterprise as the Platonian cultural attaché. He would have made an excellent chorus, mordantly commenting on our heroes' triumphs and failures.

Alexander would have interesting, but the idea sounds like a pre-Voyager version of Neelix. Have him aboard for an episode or two, let him find a congenial world he likes, and wish him well in his new life.

Yeoman Tamura appears in some of the fanfiction stories where my sig link leads. It's too bad she was only in one episode.

I fully agree with Riley, Garrovick, and M'Benga.

I think Diana Muldaur would have been a good regular crew member. Maybe as Miranda - a blind navigator with enhanced sensors.
