Was Obi Wan a bad mentor/teacher?

If there was nothing wrong with Yoda's teaching methods or "the Jedi way", why did Yoda believe that he required more training from Qui-Gon's ghost? Or that Obi-Wan needed it as well?
What did Qui-Gon teach that changed Luke's training?

Jedi training is 18 years worth of training.

Luke got his shit buttoned down in 3 weeks.

Luke Skywalker got a Jedi GED.

Have to say, I'm not sure why people keep misinterpreting the Jedi policy on nookie. It was explicitly clarified in AotC and I think several times on TCW. Love is *not* forbidden; attachment is forbidden. Jedi must be compassionate, but they must not hold one above all others, they must not possess. The Jedi way is one of selflessness, not some arbitrary notion of abstinence.

Light sabres are (also) dildos.

You wouldn't have to give Jedi dildos, to carry everywhere in plain view, if they were allowed to mess around with regular people.

Although considering the thanorrotica, I'm not sure regular people would be interested in sharing a vibrator with a body count in triple digits.

Passion in general seems pretty frowned upon, though, seen as likely to lead to possessiveness or just be overly indulgent and worldly. The Jedi also seem to really emphasize detachment (aside from to the Order) and it seems there should be some better medium between detachment and attachment (maybe Luke came closer).

My point is that they don't explicitly forbid pelvic pinochle, just some of the things humans tend to find comes part-and-parcel (mostly attachment.)
I mean it would be a bit anthropocentric of them no? What if say for the sake of argument Nautolans attach no emotional significance to the act? What if to them, it's just a necessary biological function that is done and then that's that. Wam-bam thank-you squid-ma'am. What if some species physically *have* to procreate at a given time or else it damages their health? What about those that are hermaphroditic and self-fertilize? The Jedi are a diverse lot and it makes more sense that they'd be more concerned with the spiritual conduct of their members than their entirely subjective physical conduct.

Side note: in the 'Ahsoka' novel she pretty much implies that it's not unusual for the Padawans to sneak about and have a little fun (though she never bothered.) So it's by no means an absolute prohibition on pain of expulsion type situation. More of a "don't set fires in the meditation gardens" type of rule.

1. Jedi make more Jedi, or at least more force users, if they are allowed to "make".

2. Self regulated population control is to avoid "others" stepping in to regulate Jedi numbers for the Jedi.

3. Maybe it's harmful to the universe for there to be too many active force users at any one time, which might be the Sith's argument, as much as the flat-scans trying to protect their place in the galactic hierarchy.

4. Which brings us back to rape from concious/unconscious mind control. First you got all these false cases of rape where the other party is claiming that against their will they were coerced, and the other cases were pretty senators have had their brains turned to so much pudding that they relent to an illegal wedding proposal from a complete twit.

5. Are the Sith allowed to go to bone town? That could be a test to find the Sith. Burn all virgins in a big stacked pile of flaming virgins.

Oh.

6. We are told that Jedi are just random manifestations of chance... But maybe all Jedi foundlings are the result of Sith one night stands. Did Shmi really have a virgin birth, or did a Sith have his way and wipe her memory on the way out?

7. If it's just about not making babies, then gay sex should be permissible under Jedi law, as well as incompatible alien species, who might as well be a hollow tree you're dumping bucket's of seed into.

8. The shepherding Jedi who should have noticed what Anikan was doing to Padme would been been called the "The Love Police" and they are so embarrassed of their pink uniforms, that they almost never leave their precinct.

9. Did Vader give up sex because his dick was burnt off by lava, he was so in love with Padme that he could never love another, he realized the immoral consequences of putting his fragile personality into an almost literal blender is dangerous for every one, or Vader did not stop stepping out to keep the ladies happy?

10. Padme was aroused by the wrongness of her tryst. The more illegal and criminal her plunge into forbidden waters beccame, the wetter she got. Are we certain that she didn't make out with Jake lloyd? Because maybe she's the problem, sexually bothering a child? Actually... If Jedi (like prisoners today in some jails) cannot legally give consent, therefore all Jedi sex is nonconsensual?

To me, the problem with the Jedi is that their way of dealing with attachments was to enforce a rule upon its members, instead of teaching them how to use their instincts to know the right time to break from attachments. No wonder they became attached to the Order and were never able to let it go. This was even apparent in Obi-Wan and Yoda's behavior in the OT.

Suppressed feelings = 20,000 years of recorded Jedi History.

Annie rocking out, with his ##c# out = Jedi Hallocaust.
