Strange New Worlds

Greetings! Is there any chance there will be another contest? I submitted for two of them and was not selected, but the feedback I received was very useful and quite welcoming. That alone was worth the whole experience. I'd love to do it again.

I doubt it. I think the 2016 one was just a one time thing for the 50th Anniversary, and it ended up kind of a mess anyways so I don't know if we'd really want a repeat of that. The contest ended up a mess, not the book.

I've still not finished Strange New Worlds 2016 because it is a slog to get through.

I'm pretty sure it was released in all of the e-book formats, not just Kindle. I haven't checked Nook, but I have seen it on Google Play, so I'm pretty sure it's probably there too. If it's on two of them, then it's usually on all three.

^ Other e-readers are available ;)

Cheers !

Is there an echo in here? How are those two posts adding anything to Jinn's post?

His post already made clear it isn't Kindle-only, but eBook only.

@Relayer1 was making a joke in relation to advertising on the BBC. (given it was him who asked if it was Kindle only)

@JD's, well that doesn't add anything, you're correct there.

As Dimesdan points out, it was a joke (and thanks for the reply) but was probably a bit culturally specific for those outside Britain.

Cheers Dime !

I was trying to point out what the other e-books formats were, just in case they were serious and weren't aware of the different formats.

Not a problem, it was a very culturally specific joke.

Trying being the operative word here.

Speaking of the different formats, Strange New Worlds 2016 is now available as a DRM-free EPUB through simonandschuster.com, which was not initially the case for some reason. It was initially only available through third-party sellers like Amazon and BN.com. Even my author's copy through S&S required registering an Adobe account for DRM purposes.

That said, it's possible this has been the case for many months and I just didn't notice till now.
