Spoilers The Flash - Season 3

The future one we saw was great.

Yes, it was. I would be more than ok if they used that one.

I don't think Speed Force makes suits though, he'll have to ask Cisco about that one I think ;)

I am sure Cisco would be happy to help.

Speaking of suits, I don't think we ever got an explanation for where Savatar's armor came from.

I hope the Flash gets a new suit next season. I know new seasons are often a convenient time for the show runners to change things up. Plus, when Barry does come out of the Speed Force, a new suit will be a neat way to illustrate on the outside that he has changed on the inside.

I dunno, I'm quite fond of the current costume. The brighter red of the 2024 costume looked too garish to me.

Speaking of suits, I don't think we ever got an explanation for where Savatar's armor came from.

Presumably, Evil Time Remnant Barry built it sometime after his creation/rejection by the team. He went mad, decided to become the God of Speed, built himself a super-armor suit, and went back in time to begin creating his legend.

I figured HR survived slightly longer because Savitar aimed at holographic Iris' heart. Still, it's a giant blade through the torso, so I don't see him surviving without future-tech.
The most interesting thig is HR survived a pretty long time - yet Barry 'The Flash/Fastest Man Alive' Allen didn't even TRY to get him to a hospital where oh, IDK - a medical team could try and SAVE his life? ;)

Even if there was no way for HR to survive, Barry is not a doctor, and he cannot make that determination, so he'd be obliged to run HR to a hospital. Although you could argue he shouldn't move the critically injured HR either, but then he would have to run a doctor to him.

This was a pretty good season finale, until the end. We got Jay back, Savitar is gone, and Caitlyn isn't an insane killer (but with a new, interesting status quo). HR's death, while a bit predictable, was done very well. The various Wells always end up being one of my favorite (if not my favorite) characters on The Flash.

But, the end really killed it. The stupid idea that the speedforce has a mind (aka some Flash writer saw a few DS9 episodes and decided to rip off the prophets) combined with some BS "Someone has to be trapped in the speedforce" garbage makes this the worst season finale on The Flash, and I didn't think Season 2 ended very well. Hopefully it resolves itself quickly next season, since I refuse to watch any speedforce episodes again (and by that I mean episodes that take place in the Celestial Temp... I mean, "Speedforce").

Also, I just have to mention my favorite line/nerd reference in the episode:

Cisco: "Hey Wally, can you reverse the polarity on the neutron flow"

They knew where and when Iris was going to be skewered, so why couldn't they have had EMTs waiting nearby with all the tools and blood needed for a rescue? Barry just seemed so fatalistic about that whole thing and that HE had to be the one to save Iris that he never really thought much outside the box.

Well, if they were nearby, they could've been in danger from Savitar. Probably best to keep civilians out of harm's way and take the injured party to them afterward. Like how in M*A*S*H, the 4077th was a few miles behind the front lines of the war rather than right in the middle of the fighting.

Today's pop culture fandom is amazing. For this particular show, fans have bitching and moaning about Barry's creation of the Flashpoint. When he finally has to pay the consequences for his actions, they bitch and moan about that as well, because there was no slap happy ending. Good grief!

You don't even remember why Barry thought he had to be the one to rescue Iris, do you? You don't remember "Into the Speed Force".

Still haven't seen S2 of that, and after a quick google search I found out it is out now in movie form on DVD and digital in case anyone else is interested.

Yes, and the movie version has 15 minutes of new material bridging seasons 1 and 2.

I just watched the finale. I don't even worry about plot holes any longer with this shows and just gauge them on their fun value. I thought that overall it was really enjoyable. I really like these characters and Iris has really come into her own this season. I also gave myself a mental high five for predicting the HR switch last week.

I agree with the above poster that this could be considered the red sky crisis event from the newspaper and it would seem to make sense as Thawn in the first season accelerated the events of Barry's original timeline. I would like to see Iris write that article before the beginning of next season and I would like to see the time room just disappear. I would like to see Barry fix the speed force so it can maintain its balance without needing to have a speedster trapped within it. Basically, I feel that any further dwelling on the time travel and speed force will just hold back the show, and I want to see the writers explore other elements of the Flash's world at this point. There are plenty of Flash villains the show could use.

One of the best decisions was to have Caitlin/Killer Frost evolve. I hope this change is not undone in the new season. She can certainly use the more interesting change to her personality even if she returns to Team Flash.

Here's a question and I apologize if it's already been asked.

Plothole alert actually.

So Barry loses his memory, which means so does Savitar.

Ok, because of THAT, Wally loses his powers because Savitar, with no memory, never accomplishes his evil things, which include giving Wally his power. Fine.

So if Savitar is erased from existence, why does Wally have his power?
