So What Are you Reading?: Generations

Been re-reading the all Star Trek: Myriad Universes, current on Echoes and Refractions, The Chimes at Midnight. Probably one of my favourite stories, I was always curious about that timeline since the time glimpse at it in TAS.

I finished Star Trek: SCE: Foundations by Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore.
I then read Star Trek: SCE: Enigma Ship by J. Steven York & Christina F. York.
Then I read "Da Capo al Fine, Part 1" by Heather Jarman, from the Star Trek: Voyager: Distant Shores anthology.
I'm currently reading Star Trek: Voyager: "Life Among the Post-Industrial Barbarians" by John Coffren, from Strange New Worlds 2016.

My progress through The Reckoners series by Brandon Sanderson has been derailed by the release of Assassin's Fate, Book III of The Fitz & the Fool Trilogy by Robin Hobb. I've been re-reading the series to refresh the story.

I'm also re-reading recent Trek in hopes of getting back into the narrative and getting caught up. However, I'm on I.K.S. Gorkon: A Burning House (2008-02), so it's going to take me a while.

I just finished all three of the Myriad Universe books. For the most part pretty good. Worth reading. As a little mental chronology exercise I looked for clues about where each of those Universes split from the prime one.

I've moved on to The Empty Chair. Wow.

Last week I read the Dresden Files short story, Heorot, and since that is the last story before the next novel I have to read in the series, I'm stopping there.
TAS has gotten me in the mood for a TOS novel, so I started How Much For Just the Planet, which I have had sitting unread in my bookshelf for years.
EDIT: Isn't there a list somewhere of some of the songs that the songs in HMFJTP were based on?

Nothing definitive. I think Therin put together a conjectural list a few years back, but it's incomplete and inconclusive. I think some of the songs were only indirectly based on actual songs or were composites, to avoid being too close for legal comfort.

Since I've last been here, Red Harvest by Joe Schieber and all the Expanse novels (James SA Corey).

Looking forward to the next Expanse novel.

I'm about 6 or 7 chapters away from wrapping up TOS: The Covenant of the Crown by Howard Weinstein. Not a bad early TOS book. Up next will be TOS: The Prometheus Design by Culbreath and Marshak.

I finished Star Trek: Voyager: "Life Among the Post-Industrial Barbarians" by John Coffren, from Strange New Worlds 2016.
I then read the Star Trek comic Spock: Reflections.
I'm now reading Tomb Raider: The Ten Thousand Immortals by Dan Abnett & Nik Vincent.

Just finished the Legacy series and moving onto From History's Shadow and Elusive Salvation in preparation for Hearts and Minds.

I love that duo. Hamilton's best work, for my money. It's brilliant, how every single character and piece of exposition comes back to matter in the final sequence, 2000 pages on. His endings usually don't land quite so well.
