That photo was shot in Jordan - not greenscreen - first time Trek on TV has filmed outside the US (apparently).

But even if it was greenscreen, wouldn't that have been filmed in Canada?

That almost looks like Star Wars. Can't they come up with a different 'desert' costume for main characters in science fiction?

Oh my gosh, characters wearing a costume that makes sense for the environment in which they are in. Star Wars didn't invent goggles or long clothing for desert wear.

Yeah, I see that now. But still, the area around Burnham's head is somewhat soft, which leads me to believe they at least added the sky in post. But as I said, cool pic!
