Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Whoot!!! I heard about this happening about a year ago and have been waiting patiently and now...finally...it may happen!

The Kyushu is one of my top 10 favorite starships. I can't wait to get it.

Damn. I didn't had that ship on my radar at all. Never was really interested into kitbash ships. But this one? This looks fantastic.

OMG! Eaglemoss is determined to bankrupt me! They've started a survey for Battlestar Galactica Starships!

Please show your love for the Vipers and BSG: TOS ! ;)

Done!

I just fear that - since there are only a handfull of BSG-starships - those will be much bigger and, most importantly, way more expensive. I'm quite happy with the regular sized Star Trek models. I would love to put a similiar sized (and prized) TOS-Galactica next to them.

Okay, where do I have so sign up so that they also make a model of the NSEA Protector from Galaxy Quest?:D

Kitbashes, perhaps fittingly, are a mixed bag. Technically the design for the Constellation and Nebula started out as kitbashes. Not the main filming models, but the Stargazer model in Picard's ready room and the Melbourne "study model" used in BOBW.

The Centaur and Cheyenne class look pretty good too.

On the other hand the Yeager, the Curry, Springfield, Niagara, Freedom (basically just a saucer and one nacelle), and Challenger classes make me cringe.

If they were gonna do any other franchise, I'd like Star Wars.

To follow the same tune, I'd love to get my hands on TOS and R BSG ships, especially the various Battlestars.

And yeah, an Eaglemoss made, Trek-sized Protector would be really cool.

Can't wait for a proper Yeager (made one myself) and Niagara.

Blimey. Was that one of the DS9 kitbashes? I don't remember that one.
It was meant to be one of the ships in the tachyon detection grid in TNG's "Redemption - Part II". It was also mentioned as one of Data's assignments before the E-D in "Clues". This particular ship actually has quite a history in the 24th century.

It's so freakin' ugly, it needs to sneak up on a glass of water.

I never considered getting the models before (I'd love to, but my bank balance wouldn't), but since I heard there was an Aventine planned, I've decided I definitely need it for my bookshelf. Has there been any new news about when to expect it? Or wheh we're likely to hear anything?

That is quiet an impressive history, but I agree, it is fuck ugly, if it where walking along the pavement in would have it's cap on hiding most of its face.

Well Titan is being worked on and it was three years ago or so that the petition was made, so it might be possible by the end of the decade, or they'll wait to see how well Titan sells.

Yeah, I suspect anything that's considered "semi-canon" will almost always take a back seat to on-screen ships, no matter how insignificant, if history is any indicator.

I thought I'd read it would be out this year, but at least it fives me tije to save up for the collection I know it would just be the first step of....

K-7 Station

Another station, at long last! Hopefully Spacedock and Regula One will follow.

Although, perhaps the latter should be flipped and be the Orital Complex, as it was originally. (Andy Probert was not terribly impressed with his design being flipped for Wrath of Khan.)

I hope not! It looks weird as Orbital Complex (like a nut hanging down), and who needs a small "space station on a stick" Regula 1? Better to go for the polished result: Starbase 375.

I like the Springfield-class. The Cheyenne-class and Freedom-class are okay. The Yeager-type has grown on me.

For the cost of the models, and of the whole set, I have not been sold on the idea of being a subsciber or buying the models individually as the inconsistent quality of the models have fallen short of the quality I expect from models at their price point.
