Admiral Janeway, your personal thoughts?

It bugged me, honestly. I thought that Janeway was such a bad Captain that seeing her be drummed out of the fleet would've seemed more plausible to me. But hey, Nemesis had a plethora of problems.

Seven would have filled out half the movie poster if Jeri was in the wedding party for 80 seconds.
Well, Jeri Ryan certainly has a proud history of filling things out in Star Trek. ;)

Star Trek Nemesis got 99 problems, but Admiral Janeway ain't one.

I thought the dialogue between them was hokey and name-droppy, but Mulgrew's presence and her character's huge promotion (Kirk never made it past Rear Admiral either time) didn't bother me.
The one thing that's always bothered me was that she jumped from Captain to Vice Admiral. Did Nemesis not have the budget to make a set of one-star admiral pips for Janeway? Even a Rear Admiral I could've lived with, but not such a huge jump in her rank.
Did we ever see a one-pip Admiral over the course of the Berman era? 2- and 3-pips were the most common, and in fact Future Riker in "All Good Things" was the first four-pipper we ever see.

There were two-, three- and four-star admirals but never a one- or five-star, despite meeting Fleet Admiral Shanthi.

Given the state of the Alpha Quadrant and the Federation after the Dominion War...I'd say Voyager's return was a well needed morale boost at the very least.

And Starfleet is well aware of it. So instead of pissing away that stroke of luck, they gave Janeway (and to an extent the crew) a lot of leeway than they would usually allowed. As a trade off and at least give something that sounds like punishment which I believe did happen offscreen , Janeway gets the hero's welcome and promotion...But is never allowed to command a Starship for the rest of her career. Janeway doesn't actually mind these conditions so it was overall win-win.

Kinda scummy since she didn't get stricter punishments but frankly, Starfleet needed something uplifting, and the sudden return of a ship thought lost was it in my head

Admiral Janeway in NEMESIS was a brilliant cameo and let us know how things were going after the events of VOY"Endgame". I wanted more, i.e., a VOY/DS9/NG cast theatrical film.

The Steel Bun returns.

Two possibilities.

1. A memorial Hologram created when she was still thought dead, who delivers sensitive information to high ranking officers.

2. Kathy is back with Mark.

Not really. All it showed was that Janeway was promoted to an admiral for some reason. It didn't have anything to do with the fates of the rest of the VOY cast, or the fate of the ship itself.

An error repeated in "Unification, Part I" when Fleet Admiral Brackett briefs Picard on Spock's trip to Romulus.
Fleet Admirals are probably just Admirals who are in charge of Fleets in that case.

The five-star Admiral is presumably the equivalent of the commander-in-chief we see in Star Trek VI. Or maybe they don't have them in TNG, and the Federation President is nominally the only five-star Admiral in the fleet?

As for Janeway, that never bothered me. It was a nice cameo and served a purpose, even if the dialogue was horrendous.

There are many fleets.

By the TNG era, Fleet just means large group, of an unspecified number.

Captain's personal log, stardate 51247.5. It's been a week since our return to Deep Space Nine, but the mood of celebration continues. We're still at war, and the station's been designated Headquarters for the Ninth Fleet. That, plus our strategic position guarding the wormhole, makes DS Nine one of the most tempting targets in the entire quadrant. But for now at least, the war seems very far away.

I was thinking that Andreas Katsulas should have been in Nemesis, since he was possibly the most noticed Romulan from the TNG era. 4 episodes?

What's worse is Pike in Trek XI, instantly promoted from Captain to Four-Star Admiral. Though, this of course is overshadowed by Kirk going from Cadet to Captain instantly.
