Pretty sure the plan was that Seven of Nine be a guest at the Riker/Troi wedding.
That's even more dumb. Why would Seven of Nine be at a wedding for people she didn't know?

This is my thinking as well.As far as I'm concerned, she got booted upstairs to a desk job where she couldn't do any direct harm out in the field.
Kor
Hopefully the Borg thing wouldn't be off putting for him.I can now only imagine Picard leaning to Beverly and asking who in the blue hell that woman is at the wedding.
Well, Jeri Ryan certainly has a proud history of filling things out in Star Trek.Seven would have filled out half the movie poster if Jeri was in the wedding party for 80 seconds.
Did we ever see a one-pip Admiral over the course of the Berman era? 2- and 3-pips were the most common, and in fact Future Riker in "All Good Things" was the first four-pipper we ever see.The one thing that's always bothered me was that she jumped from Captain to Vice Admiral. Did Nemesis not have the budget to make a set of one-star admiral pips for Janeway? Even a Rear Admiral I could've lived with, but not such a huge jump in her rank.
Star Trek Nemesis got 99 problems, but Admiral Janeway ain't one.
AmendedNot Pips.
Studs on a badge, that are called stars according to the encyclopaedia.
It bugged me, honestly. I thought that Janeway was such a bad Captain that seeing her be drummed out of the fleet would've seemed more plausible to me. But hey, Nemesis had a plethora of problems.
An error repeated in "Unification, Part I" when Fleet Admiral Brackett briefs Picard on Spock's trip to Romulus. There were two-, three- and four-star admirals but never a one- or five-star, despite meeting Fleet Admiral Shanthi.
Admiral Janeway in NEMESIS was a brilliant cameo and let us know how things were going after the events of VOY"Endgame".
Fleet Admirals are probably just Admirals who are in charge of Fleets in that case.An error repeated in "Unification, Part I" when Fleet Admiral Brackett briefs Picard on Spock's trip to Romulus.
Captain's personal log, stardate 51247.5. It's been a week since our return to Deep Space Nine, but the mood of celebration continues. We're still at war, and the station's been designated Headquarters for the Ninth Fleet. That, plus our strategic position guarding the wormhole, makes DS Nine one of the most tempting targets in the entire quadrant. But for now at least, the war seems very far away.
What's worse is Pike in Trek XI, instantly promoted from Captain to Four-Star Admiral. Though, this of course is overshadowed by Kirk going from Cadet to Captain instantly. The one thing that's always bothered me was that she jumped from Captain to Vice Admiral. The tip of the iceberg in the grand scheme of everything wrong with NuTrek, IMO.What's worse is Pike in Trek XI, instantly promoted from Captain to Four-Star Admiral. Though, this of course is overshadowed by Kirk going from Cadet to Captain instantly.
