Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Eh, I've found customer service to be hit or miss. Only a sample size of two, but upon receiving a broken ship, once it was replaced with no questions, the second time they wanted me to jump through all kinds of hoops (the incidents were about 18 months apart).

On a different note, I just got an email that the big ships are considered specials like DS9/KT ships, so will be shipped the big 1701 automatically (at $60) unless I decline.

Yeah, I can actually see myself buying a few of the Alien ships. The Sulaco, the Alien Dereclict, the Prometheus would be awesome. What would be even more awesome, though, would be a collection favorite ships from all kinds of sci-fi productions, as others have suggested before. But I guess the licensing would be tricky for something like that.

I've always wanted some small scale models (about Eaglemoss sized) of the major ships from the Stargate franchise:
-BC-303 "Prometheus"
-BC-304 "Daedalus/Odyssey/Apollo/etc."
-Goa'Uld Ha'Tak
-Anubis' "super" Ha'Tak
-Asgard "Col. Jack O'Neill"
-Asgard "Beliskner"
-Ancient "Destiny"
-Ancient "Aurora"
-Replicator Ship
-Ori Mothership
-Wraith Hiveship
-Wraith Cruiser

Daedalus and the others have darker hulls, the Odyssey for some reason has an ever so slightly lighter one (plus all the Asgard upgrades) so you could have two variants.

Atlantis would be a pretty cool special issue. The Gates themselves would be fun (even if only 3 of them). The Gould starbase where their council met. Ra's pyramid from the movie (which was featured a couple of times in the series too from some of the Ra related gods?)

You could also have the cargo ship (Alkesh?) and death gliders.

I think it is fantastic that Eaglemoss is going to add some of the ships/vehicles to their Alien collection. I just do not care for figures that much and I was saddened to see that was what they were offering.

I'm tying to click on the buttons on that website and I'm like 'why isn't this working? Has my computer crashed again?'... then realise it's a screengrab... Bastard :p:lol:
Heh...I did the same bloody thing. I want to see pages 2 and 3!!!

Would be a very cool thing to get those ships. My wife's going to hate me...

Have I ever failed you? (Don't answer that!) Here's the actual CGI artist's site:

I was thinking later after my post that those smaller vessels such as the gliders and F-302s could be done at a smaller scale and put into a "shuttle set."

Atlantis would be a special.

The stargates themselves would probably be separate like the dedication plaques. It'd be cool if they came with little bases to attach to so they look like they're standing on some alien planet. They'd sell the Earth gate with the ramp stand and computer dhd as a bonus.

About a week and a half ago, I impulsively bought the Reliant and Romulan warbird on eBay. It was from the same guy I got the Negh'Var from (baronvlad, who's been my go to guy for most of my Eaglemoss transactions on Ebay and has been pretty good).

This order seems to be taking a bit longer to arrive though. The Negh'Var was at my door by now (shipped Feb 22, arrived Mar 6), whereas this one was ordered on the 9th but JUST cleared Canadian customs on Friday (possibly because of the weather). Plus since it's probably going to show up on a day I'm at work (I was lucky enough to be home when mailman knocked on my door with the Negh'Var), I'll have to wait an additional day to pick it up at the local post office. Not THAT big a deal, in the grand scheme of things, I've just never been a terribly patient person.

Actually, it's kind of ironic that the Negh'Var package would be the one that sailed through customs so easily, if you know what happened to the REAL filming model. :rommie:

Speaking of impulse buys, I also ordered the Fortunate last week. This one's coming from a dealer in the UK, and unfortunately, no tracking number. I wonder if this one will arrive quicker or not. Yes, it does have to cross an ocean, but it doesn't have to spend days bouncing around the US, like the other two orders did.

I guess we'll see.

Everytime I look at my Delta Flyer that I got from Eaglemoss, I can't help but think how cool a Puddle Jumper would be. And a Special edition Atlantis.

Eaglemoss shut up and take my money!
