dumbasses,,,, scotty never specified a specific year, day, month, or time to display the enterprise bridge. Hence the fact it was always undergoing constant changes, the whole bridge module was designed to be removed and removed as bridge controls changed.
Its like some videogame wannabe bitching that the eye color of the in game character doesn't match the eye color of the video game disc package.
THe point of Relics is not "hero worship". In many episodes of tng, new charecters were told by riker and picard and even geordi that hero worship and similar things was not tolerated on the ship, stupid crap like that gets you killed and such stuff. Hence they themselves would not really be hero worshipping.
And there is a sense in star trek itself that, once a time period ends, or series ends, everything relating to it is no longer valued. When Encounter at Far Point, Pt 1 aired, they had Admiral Bones, head of Starfleet tour the ship, and the only person who saw him as more then a meddling admiral was Data, who was like "gosh the changes you have seen nearly immortal human"
Look at that whiney transporter chief, once the TNG series ended, he was just another loser in the fleet, and was barely good enough to be chief light bulb changer on DS9. Look at Worf, head of security on the federation flagship, but once that series over, forced to bite the pillow and take it up the ass and beg to be put on that shithole DS9
