I wonder if there is going to be any kind of reference to Luke? Nothing serious, obviously, maybe Maul figuring something out the moment before he's defeated/killed?
I'd be surprised if there wasn't *something* to do with Luke. I mean they've already had Leia and when else are them ever to have this opportunity?I wonder if there is going to be any kind of reference to Luke? I wonder if Maul might sense Luke, and might start looking for a new apprentice, and be drawn to the disturbance in the Force. This might lead to Obi-Wan intercepting Maul, and keeping him from discovering Luke.I'd be surprised if there wasn't *something* to do with Luke. I doubt it'll have anything directly to do with Maul though. Maul's always been Kenobi's nemesis and there's never really been any direct connection between him and the Skywalkers. I may be forgetting something but I don't think Maul and Anakin ever even encountered one-another post TPM.
Maul still needs an ending of some sort. He has kind of earned getting a proper one now after all they did with him in both The Clone Wars and Rebels. While they could let him live on and let someone else deal with his fate, it seems reasonable that his time will end before the Battle of Yavin....in for no other reason so he can't interfere with the Heroes of Yavin in any way. Now if the decide to toss him into the Sarlacc, well, he could resurface again at some point....even more crazed than he is now...with a grumpy Fett too.
I know this is a loose end that need tying off before ANH but a blind rush for vengeance seems like a step backwards for Maul.
Another part of it is that I want to see old wise Ben deal with this in another way than flashing blades. This is not the same Kenobi we last saw in TCW; he's had a 17 years or so to meditate and reflect, becoming more in-tune with the force.
Well that was certainly...a thing. Given that we came *this close* to AP-5 breaking out into song I get the sense the production crew needed to exorcise all the sillies ahead of the season finale.

I figured as much, I just finished it. They have been pretty good this season about filler episodes so I can forgive. Looking forward to next weeks amazingness!Today's episode was pretty fillery, but I thought it was fun.
