No problem, i'm just wary of perfect scores in general when it comes to video games....Fair enough. My apologies if I came off a little curt.

nonsense, of course they are - and that's completely fine.No one is literally buying the Switch just for Zelda.
I live in Toronto. I went to Best Buy in the core of downtown 10 minutes after they opened this morning. I left 15 minutes later with a Switch and Zelda. I was expecting that to be harder.
Yeah, that's the best way to go. The Switch isn't ready to launch. Wait until the holidays and pick up the inevitable Mario Odyssey bundle when there's a decent library and YouTube/Netflix are available.Outside of the Zelda game, there was just nothing there that interested me for the Switch. Will pick one up later in the year, when there are more games available. My nine-year old already has his eyes on the new Mario game.

I guess my biggest hangup with the Switch is the lack of power. It doesn't feel like much of an upgrade from the Wii U. At least, not yet.
Nope...
I've played the previous games, they are good, but nothing special...
I think the scores are heavily influenced by the Switch hype, if the game had come out earlier, like 2 years ago when the Wii U needed it, the scores would've been lower...
The joycon issue is still there for me after updates to System version 2.0 and renders the console UNUSABLE in docked mode. The only game I have right now is the Wipeout knockoff as Amazon hasn't shipped my BOTW too me, but wow, I cannot play it with the Joycons undocked. Even a foot away, if my hand covers up the Joycon (which it does due to my big hands) it looses connectivity. Even if I hold it gingerly it can sometimes STILL disconnect. It's literally unplayable for me in that configuration.Seems like the JoyCon connection issue is resolved by the day-1 system update, although some are saying the problem still persists, and still others haven't commented about it yet.
The JoyCons need to be attached to the system when it is rebooted after the update is downloaded and installed, probably to ensure they have enough power so the firmware doesn't get screwed up halfway through an update. Sounds like 2 reboots are required - one to install the update to the Switch and then another for the update to apply to the JoyCons.

They made the Wii U portable, with a slight power increase, still puts it behind the PS3/XBox360 hardware wise...It's a tablet device marketed as a hybrid (that, by all reports, chugs like hell when forced into 1080p mode through the dock) powered by a Tegra chip derived from Nvidia's efforts to provide graphics for phones and tablets. You aren't going to see any big power enhancements.
Also, lawl at people who actually bought into Nintendo's promise that this wasn't going to replace the 3DS ("third pillar" lol), considering there's at least one vendor releasing a handheld-only game.

So it's 2 technological generations behind instead of 1...
I do hope it get's better support than the Wii U...
If it weren't for the sluggish frame rate from time to time
