So What Are you Reading?: Generations

I'm reading Mars Crossing by Geoffrey A.Landis . The scenes written about the Astronauts exploring Mars seems very real. I really like this book. I'm so glad Tor books reprinted this sci fi novel.

H.P. Lovecraft: The Mysterious Man Behind the Darkness by Charlotte Montague. A non-fiction tome with many cool vintage illustrations.

I just finished Surak's Soul. The ending felt a little rushed but I enjoyed reading about T'Pol's inner philosophical turmoil. Pretty good!

Now I'm deciding whether I should read Taking Wing (Titan #1), The Face of the Unknown, another ENT book, Spock's World, or some other Trek book.

Which ENT books have you got left?

Based on your avatar, I recommend reading Face of the Unknown next.;)

Joe R. Lansdale is coming to town for a signing so I cleared out my unread bookshelf of unread Lansdale. He writes in a variety of genres. Zombies in the West, mystery/crime, straight westerns, urban fantasy/horror, steam punk. It was a fun binge read.

I finished up 3 Star Trek books this weekend.

The Topps Cards book. Basically a picture book of star trek cards put out by Topps cards in the mid 70's. One of the people in charge of the project, can't remember his title, gave some behind the scenes info on the trading card business and his thinking behind the captions and comments on the cards.

The Star Trek Classic Movie Omnibus. A collection of the comic editions of the TOS movies. Just reminded me how much I like movies 2 and 6 and think 5 is just a piece of junk.

Headlong Flight by Dayton Ward. I really enjoyed this. Don't often get a chance to read a book in a day and I liked this one enough that I took advantage of the situation.

About to start the Lovell stories and Vanguard series according to the LitVerse Reading Guide.

Again...everything is for the first time for me. I'm a newbie to it all. Finished all TV shows, movies, etc last year and just wrapped up the ENT lit-verse so far.

A bunch, actually. I've only read Daedalus, Daedalus's Children, and Surak's Soul. I've enjoyed them all, and I really like ENT, so I'm definitely interested in reading more ENT books.
I haven't come across one that I really didn't enjoy. They have all been pretty true to the show and the characters and have been well written. The Rise of the Federation series really launches a post ENT universe.

Made a start on Man of Bronze by James Alan Gardner. It's an older Tomb Raider novel with a first persion viewpoint. No tombs yet though.

I just finished the Prey trilogy and I'm now gonna start in on DRG3's latest DS9 offering, The Long Mirage.

I took a break from ST: The Fall: Peaceable Kingdoms to read the first issue of the new comic book series adapting the script for the unproduced sequel to the Jim Henson movie The Dark Crystal.

Still trying to get through a re-read of Star Wars Aftermath: Life Debt before moving on to Empire's End, but I've not had a lot of free time lately.

Finally finished the current World Book Yearbook.

I'm now a chapter into re-reading Spock: Messiah!

I expect to start on The Long Mirage by Sunday, and finish it by sometime Tuesday.

I'm going to be a bit rushed, because Tuesday is Fat Tuesday, and from that evening on, I'm going to once again be reading the KJV cover-to-cover, over the course of Lent, finishing by Easter morning.
