Batman with Ben Affleck-- Rumors, pic, etc;

You literally re-posted a Photoshopped Twitter screenshot that's somehow gone viral.
If so. I apologize. You know how these social media posts can look authentic and disappear when a person deletes them. Sometimes, screenshots are all we have left of a conversation were not apart of.

I tend to skip Campea's drama queen moments when he's on a Collider video. Dude just won't shut up.

Never having been an Affleck fan, I didn't have much faith in the BvS movie before it came out.

The movie was pretty horrible in many ways, but Affleck was a revelation and went a good way towards rescuing the film. He certainly became my favorite screen Batman, by quite a long way.

One actor shouldn't be that important, but as troubled as it is (the word on Wonder Woman apparently isn't good either) the DCCU can't afford to lose one of it's few real assets.

If it is true, and Affleck does bail, it could be a crippling blow to DC.

The rumor that WW and JL being in trouble was another suspect claim from unconfirmed sources. I say this because Patty Jenkins tweeted out this 2 weeks ago.

WW and JL as still in post-production. The score, and special effects haven't been completed and added to the film. Meaning, that there is no working print of either movie that any "source" could have seen and know for certain that they are "messes".

I'm glad to hear it, but fingers crossed the Affleck rumour is BS too. I don't think they could get away with a recast...

About which part of the doom and gloom scenarios?
Studio meddling too much? Studio not meddling enough? Bad script? Complete rewrites? Good script that will get rewritten? New director? Affleck leaving altogether? Total DCEU reboot? Kicking tiny kittens? :D
Yeah, that !

;)

Just bring back Nolan! For better(1 billion dollars) or worst(horrible fight sequences)

It was a miracle Nolan and WB could churn out 3 decent films without any huge tabloid news or arguments(that we know of).

That was before the superhero movies became main stream things. Once in a blue moon was WB's strategy. Now, that they've expended their LOTR/Hobbit trilogy, Harry Potter novels (the planned Fantastic Beasts sequels will be made up as they go along), WB is fully committing to their DC properties.

What demands they are making of the prospective directors, is what I'm curious about.

Nolan's movies are for people who dislike actual comic book elements in CBMs.
An absurdly narrow and incomplete assessment of people who like Nolan's Batman trilogy, though one that has a strange degree of traction nonetheless.

Nolan's trilogy offers a different take on a character than had been typical before, thus expanding the way such characters can be explored and portrayed. A much more accurate assessment of the trilogy, given the significant number of people who enjoy both the Nolan version of superhero movies and the many other types. Nolan offers an interesting and different recipe, not a command to have all other superhero movies conform to his style and approach.

Nolan won't come back. Not even for all the Brinks trucks in the world.

The news of talks breaking down with Matt Reeves doesn't surprise me. However, it's not the same as Reeves departing the film. From what I've heard, WB is trying to rush this. CAA, the agency representing Reeves, then started asking for more money. That is when talks started to break down. So, either two things will probably need to happen to keep Reeves from walking: WB will need to cough up more cash or decelerate the time schedule. I don't see either happening.

The Variety article said WB wants this movie to happen soon, so it sounds like they don't want to delay this project any further or wait around for any filmmaker. That means expect someone like Fede Alvarez or a journeyman director to take this on. Someone who will take orders and get this going immediately. In other words, so much for an A-list or truly capable director.

At this point, we just have to hope whoever gets hired can make a good movie given the restrictions. That may be too much to ask for.

Uh-huh, and if Nolan had included any genuine comic book elements like the Lazarus Pits or Clayface or anything like that, I can assure you that most of the 10/10 ratings his movies got would become 0/10.
