Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

^ Aye, the Hazari ship would be something I'm looking forward to. I like the 22nd century a lot, and the Hazari ship is a two-in-one because it doubles as Rigelian scout ship. :bolian:

I've been trying to think of a few ships that Eaglemoss hasn't been done AND haven't already been mentioned as suggestions by fellow posters.... haven't been able to think of any lol.

BUT

I sit here watching Stargate Atlantis and it has me thinking: how cool would it be if Eaglemoss did models from SG/SGA? I'd love a daedalus class model or a puddle jumper. There certainly are not as many models as the trek universe for Eaglemoss to issue, but how cool would a special edition issue of Atlantis be? I'd buy that for a dollar.

I can think of the Shroomie ship and the Octanti/Species 6339 ship (which appeared on early promotional material).

The idea has been floated to launch a general Sci-Fi ship collection. I'd love their take on the NSEA Protector.

That would be amazing! I'd love to get some ships from other sci-fi franchises such as Alien, Babylon 5, Starship Troopers, etc.

Also, here are the first video reviews of the 11 inch TOS Enterprise:

A bit odd they made a completely new tooling for the Saratoga instead of modifying the Reliant, but then again Micro Machines did the same thing...

Thanks for the size info!
Is the reliant about the same size?

Perhaps Eaglemoss wanted to preserve the tooling so they could keep producing Reliants. Ertl modified their 1:1000 Excelsior kit to produce the Enterprise B model kit and then could not make any Excelsior kits again. Round 2 (who bought everything)had to replace (and happily upgrade) the missing tooling so they could reissue the Excelsior kits once again.

Looking at the IrishTrekkie review of the large-sized NCC-1701 I must say I'm kinda disappointed. At that size (and that steep a price) there should be more details on the hull. Shouldn't there be subtle gridlines like on the filming model? And the seam on the underside of the saucer looks to be way too noticeable. Hm, now I'm not sure if I want to get these.

I always assumed the same thing, but I got my hands on the elusive third boxset of Micro Machines about a year and a half ago and the MM Saratoga IS, in fact, a re-mold of the Reliant, just missing the roll bar (but without the side pods).

I'm in the US, and got my shipment of #86 & #87 last week, only three weeks or so after I got the single-ship shipment of #83.

So I emailed them -- "Where's #84 & #85?"

Their response: "I do apologize, issues 84 and 85 are currently out of stock. We do not have an expected ship date for them. Once they come into stock they will automatically be shipped to you. Thank you for your patience."

Thanks Carleigh, that's a comfort. LOL!

I went ahead and bought the Enterprise-J through Big Bad Toy Store. Having heard horror stories in this thread about ships with broken-off nacelles, my biggest concern was that it would come through the mail that way, especially given how insanely spindly the Enterprise-J's nacelles are. Fortunately, it arrived intact and on the exact day FedEx said it would...

Got charged twice today from Eaglemoss. Looks like I'm getting the special too this month. Both shipments are different prices than I'm used to, so I hope that means a new binder is coming. I have enough homeless magazines that I can fill a new binder immediately.

Haven't had a look at the binders: Do you have to punch holes into the magazines in order to insert them?
