Avengers Infinity War (and beyond) anticipation thread

The Russo Brothers announce the beginning of principal photography for Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel!

Hard to believe that all of this started eight years ago with a surprise hit called "Iron Man", but here we are on the verge of the final piece of Marvel's grand plan. This promises to be the biggest cinematic super-hero event ever, with just about every major MCU characters set to appear(with, I'm sure, more announcements to come).

What are your hopes for this movie(s)? Do you think that Marvel will be able to pull off a satisfying conclusion to their dozen movie plus adventure?

For the most part, Marvel has been very successful creatively and I trust the Russo brothers to get these films done right, especially considering Marvel has decidedly not rushed these films.

Also, the above graphic is a bit out of date because they're no longer parts I & II as the article indicates (they even have an updated graphic).

Can we assume that the Aether had been moved to a different location when the Power Stone was brought to Benicio in Guardians?

Well, the Collector was trying get all six gems, so I can't see him surrendering the Aether. Maybe he might have moved to a more secure location?

Benicio DelToro has been spotted in Atlanta. Makes sense that he would appear as the Collector currently has the Aether. Thanos is sure to come a callin'

Josh Brolin, who plays Thanos, also referred to working with Del Toro, so we've got a second source to go along with that.
Here' a list of every character that was confirmed to be appearing in Infinity War, the list is older so there have been a couple additions since they put it together:
Iron Man
Steve Rogers (according to IGN he at least won't start the movie as Captain America)
Spider-Man
Thor
Dr. Strange
Wong
Star-Lord
Rocket Raccoon
Drax
Gamora
Nebula
Mantis
(Sean Gunn posted a picture of himself in a IW hat and said he was starting a new project so IGN included him in their list)
Hawkeye
Scarlet Witch
The Vision
Winter Soldier
Hulk
Maria Hill
We also now know that Peter Dinklage will be playing an unannounced character.
The Collector isn't included in IGN's list but we now know he's in it so I'm including him

This is the first I noticed that they didn't include Black Panther in the list, I find it a little hard to believe he won't be in it though.
I know a lot of people are expecting Capt. Marvel to make her first appearance in IW, but I can't remember if that's been confirmed or not yet.

Wasn't it confirmed that Captain Marvel won't be in the first one or am I confusing her with Wasp?

It was a satirical dig at the recent Arrowverse crossover event, when Green Arrow made Supergirl stay in the hangar during an alien invasion because angst.

I got that, but I just don't see the similarity in the situations.

It's highlighting the absurdity of that situation by swapping in the Marvel characters, specifically because it's something that you wouldn't see in an MCU film. It has nothing to do with the plot of Infinity War, about which I know nothing.
