Agents of Shield - Season 4

So is it just me or do you think the season will end with May's body dying but Shield will just download her mind from the framework into the Android version of her.

But the mind that's currently in the LMayD already is a full download of her mind, just tweaked slightly with the programmed imperative to get the Darkhold. So that part has essentially already happened.

Yes but it's still a copy and not the original + I would assume new memories made since, diverge the two May's.

So is the mind in the Framework, the one you just proposed downloading. Downloads are copies. The May persona currently running in the Framework is a copy of the one in her actual meatbrain, and if the copy from the Framework were downloaded into the LMayD, then it would be a copy of a copy. Which would make it exactly as far from the original as the persona currently in the LMayD, which was downloaded from the consciousness model that Radcliffe had uploaded into his computer as part of "curing" May of her Darkhold infection.

I would assume new memories made since, diverge the two May's.

Of course they would, but that doesn't make one any more "real" than the other, just different in experience.

What is the second half of this season about? And I noticed that Marvel bumped off another underused villain. I guess I should not have been surprised.

This season will feature 3 story arcs. LMDs is the second and will wrap up over the next few epis. The Darkhold will no doubt continue as a thread in the 3rd, with a probable return of Ghost Rider.

This show does that way too often. They spend many episodes building up a villain, and then some other villian will just off them.

Though I did recall about halfway through the episode that Sen Nadir's brother seemed to be dead too, but we expect to see more of him. That trait could certainly run in the family.

This episode was alright. I hope May lives through this arch. I'm not a fan of the idea of the robot replacing her.

I was surprised they killed of Nadeer so soon. I felt she would be a reoccurring threat, similar to Talbot but on the other side. I guess with the Superior around, Nadeer isn't needed.

I also don't think Mace will make it out of this one. The watchdogs are going to want to kill him while thinking he's like Captain America, meaning they're going to use something stronger. Fitz did say his suit has a tracking device, but that might just be the way they find May.

Didn't Radcliffe say RoboMay wasn't meant to last?

In that sense, no. But it's disappointing to see Parminder Nagra so abruptly written out in favor of yet another white male actor.

I got the sense from the preview (not a spoiler, more a speculative impression) that they'll find out he isn't an Inhuman when he proves vulnerable to their torture. They might want to keep him alive just so they can expose him to the world and humiliate SHIELD. Hmm... I suppose anti-Inhuman racists would be pretty contemptuous of a normal human who adopted an Inhuman identity. They'd see him as a sellout. "How can you want to be like those deviants? Don't you think humans are good enough?" and that sort of thing.

Would it be ironic if Mace gets exposed to the mist and gets real inhuman powers?

Ok, prediction:
They will fake out a death scene for him, but he will become an inhuman instead, but his new real powers will make it impossible for him to remain the public face of Shield.

The MCU does that a lot . . . in both movies and television. Senator Nadeer was the latest victim in this form of bad writing.

Her "death" very much fit the old comic book trope of "If you don't see a body...and sometimes even then...."

I was gonna joke that Angar the Screamer can't be far behind, then vaguely remembered that they did him already....

It was strange that Nadeer didn't cocoon up while her brother did. Could one of them be adopted or does is jump down the family tree? I would like to see more inhumans on the team. Hopefully when Shield storms the sub, one of them will get exposed to the crystal. I'm crossing my fingers for Fitz or Mace.

The Watchdog guy did say here that the gene could skip a generation, or implicitly not be passed down to both siblings in the same family.

Yeah, but what does he know. Just because someone comes along to give expositional information, doesn't mean he knows what he's talking about.
