"It's the end... But the moment has been prepared for."Yeah, I definitely hope there's no damn prophecies, this sort of stuff never used to happen in the classic series.
That didn't overarch the entire season."It's the end... But the moment has been prepared for."
Would be interesting, but I still think an in-universe surprise regeneration would be better, it's becoming a pain that the Doctor is basically continually aware every time he's due to regenerate, I'd rather have him regenerate on an adventure when he doesn't expect it. It'd be a nice break from what we've had with Tennant and Smith. Although if there was to be a sort of prophecy/thread, I suppose a Watcher would be one of the best ideas.I've actually been wondering if the thread running through this season is going to be random appearances of the Watcher in each episode. Yeah, I know, Capaldi's departure was only announced in the past week and filming of the season is likely very close to being complete, if it isn't already. But for all we know, the decision was made a while back and it's only now that it's become public.
Yeah, I'm reaching, but my point is that Watcher cameos would be a good and non-annoying way to telegraph the coming regeneration.
Hm, that raises an interesting point. Can The Doctor, or any Time Lord for that matter, regenerate past impalement or decapitation?
However, I like the idea of the Doctor going insane, but I don't see the BBC allowing for that.
Impalement? I guess it would depend on what organs it hit. EG, if it was something like what happened to Wash in Serenity, death seemed to happen too quickly. But if it was something like, say Shinzon at the end of Nemesis, there might be a possibility. Also, the Time Lord in question should probably remove the object that impaled them prior to regenerating, or else, the new body is going to be a really short-lived one. Otherwise, I can't imagine there being too much of an issue.Hm, that raises an interesting point. Can The Doctor, or any Time Lord for that matter, regenerate past impalement or decapitation?
According to her, it takes eight simultaneous bullets, three to each heart, two to the brain stem to kill and prevent regeneration.Didn't Missy say in The Magician's Apprentice that you need to take out the head and both hearts simultaneously to stop a regeneration
Agreed on almost everything. The Angels were great in their first episode, every time after that it was basically just someone jumping out and shouting boo. All the creepiness is gone. Now I don't quite agree on Missy. I think she's one of the worst characters in the entire series, but I don't want an off-screen regeneration. I'm not really a fan of any version of the Master so can we please kill him/her off permanently?I think the weeping angels have been overused and lost their impact. I never, ever want to see Missy again (regenerate her off screen please)
Never going to happen.I'm not really a fan of any version of the Master so can we please kill him/her off permanently?
At most, a given showeunner might refuse to employ the Master, but once that person has resigned, the next might turn out to be the Master's biggest fan and want him or her in every episode.Never going to happen.
...wut?This has to return and haunt the doctor.
The kiss could be a DNA transfer for The Master which she planned.
For the Christmas special the doctor has to regenerate to burn off The Master's DNA

And The Master is in trouble too. Now she has the Doctor's DNA and starts to act good.......for a bit
To close out the Missy Master she'll regenerate too
Dual Regenerations in one special
The 13th doctor's first episode will be to hunt down the new master who is also recovering from post regeneration side effects
The problem I feel is that they're trying to turn the Master into a bad copy of the Joker. Except for the End of Time where for whatever reason they turned him into a Sith cannibal, but that's best forgotten.I really like Missy, I hope she sticks around. I mean, she's no Anthony Ainley or Roger delgado Master, and she really should act like less of a looney tunes character (and I say that as someone who considers Ainley the best Master), but she's certainly better then Simm or Eric Roberts versions of The Master.
Unfortunately you're right. But with the quality of the Master stories in nuWho it would probably be for the best.Never going to happen.

Morbius and Omega seemed fairly tough. All Morbius seemed to need was his brain, Omega lost his whole body and his consciousness persisted. Rasillon also seems to keep coming back. It seems like if there's a shred of the mind left a Time Lord will find a way. The Master has also pulled some unlikely comebacks.Hm, that raises an interesting point.
