Asian American writers on Trek?

From personal experience, I believe Asian Americans are too nerdy to be TV writers!

PS: This is a joke, sort of, probably...

Not a writer per se, but Mike Okuda's contributions and relevant oversight contributed a great deal of tools for the writers. As a kid I always appreciated an Asian American as one of the integral staff behind the scenes.

Michael and Denise Okuda's contributions to Star Trek are nothing short of heroic.

Don't forget about Wah Chang, who made tricorders, communicators, the original Romulan ship and a bunch of other stuff. Also Greg Jein, who built a lot of ship models after TOS (and numbered the Constellation-class starships). Of course, I strongly support Michael Okuda for all the great work he's done in and out of Trek but also for having the same initials as me (MO).
