The movie premieres tonight in L.A. and the review embargo will be lifted on Dec. 13 at 5pm EST.

The first showings are also largely sold out so this bodes well.

If one thinks about it, the movie isn't really a stand alone. It's basically a prequel to "A New Hope".

You mean like with all the spoilers from Titanic? I was SOOOO mad when someone told me before I saw the movie that the ship sank... UGH!!

Actually, considering some of the arguments I've gotten into on Trek BBS about internet spoilers, I can easily imagine someone getting upset about knowing beforehand that the ship will sink in Titanic. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if someone angrily replied to this very post about me ruining a movie released nearly twenty years ago about an event that happened over a hundred years ago.

I am itching to start seeing reviews.. Not for spoilers, mind you.. I just want to know what people are thinking.. There was so much controversy surrounding the re-shoots and the issue of casual fans now knowing this movie takes place before ANH... I'm just curious.
