Not in the MCU there weren't. Bana is Banner the way Bixby is. As well as the reasons listed by others above, MCU Betty had never seen the Hulk before the university battle, whereas Jennifer Connolly most certainly had.

Yeah, The Incredible Hulk being a sequel to the 2003 Hulk movie is one of those ideas/notions/theories that has no credence to it whatsoever.
I haven't thought about Spider-Man: Homecoming in quite a while, given that I'm pretty much burned out with the MCU right now, but I saw this yesterday and figured I'd mention it since it hasn't been brought up yet:

The Ang Lee origin story likewise dealt with a complicated mix of gamma rays, nano machines and his father's experiments, whereas as noted it was apparentally Bruce trying to recreate the Captain America experiment (presumabely the part where he was sealed in.) As you can probably guess from my avatar Spider-Man is one of my favorite super heroes, so I'm really looking forward to getting to see some Homecoming footage.
I like the idea of them using Liz Allen as a love interest. It would mean we've gotten a different love interest in each reboot, and I find that a lot more interesting that just redoing the MJ relationship each time.

Elizabeth Banks played Betty Brant in the Raimi trilogy, though she was never a love interest for Pete. And Felicity Jones played "Felicia" in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 -- implicitly setting up the Black Cat for future movies that never happened. (Interesting synchronicity there -- Elizabeth B. as Elizabeth B. and Felicity as Felicia.)

I was actually hoping that Stark would only show up as himself, rather than suiting up as Iron Man.
I wonder if that's actually the very end of the movie, after Peter's defeated the Vulture. Like Spidey and Iron-Man talk about what just happened, then they fly/swing off together to tackle a new problem.
