Well, I think we can all now safely say that Trump running wasn't a Bill-and-Hillary conspiracy to destroy the Republican Party from within and put them back in the White House. If it were, Hillary is a lot more incompetent than even her detractors thought.
Hillary wasn't running a destroy the Republican Party from within campaign. Hillary was running a campaign based on social issues that only a conspiracy theorist would think was a front for destroying the Republican Party, which really doesn't need any help in destroying its own party.
I didn't think the US President was above the law. But it's not as if former GOP presidents did hold views like "Well, when the president does it, that means it is not illegal."
Besides why should any immunity if any such immunity exist apply retrospectively to acts commited prior to being elected. Also isn't the GOP more the party of Law and Order in the USA?
The trial hasn't begun yet. Trump wants the trial delayed in order to use the Office of the President as buffer against being charged with a crime. Trump hasn't been charged with a crime yet because the trial hasn't taken place yet. The GOP is the Party of Law and Order when it suits them.
Here is the phone call message that I made to all of the GOP HQ east of Texas yesterday. Those I couldn't leave the message with I left it as an e-mail message:
With Mike Pence taking the transition of power over for Trump, Donald Trump has effectively stepped away from his first responsibility of being President-Elect which is to ensure the correct people are appointed to the offices in the President's cabinet based on Trump's expertise in assigning such roles based on experience that he has obtained from his many years of being a CEO.
Because Trump is having Mike Pence conduct the transition of power personally and not Trump himself, Trump is ducking responsibility which means that those who are appointed by Mike Pence and Mike Pence himself will take the blame for any failures in the agenda of Trump because like Trump's Trump University scam Trump did not appoint those under him and therefore was not held responsible for their actions even though it was his company.
Was not left as a part of the message
In retrospect of the Trump University scam Trump is now asking that the trial be delayed until he is sworn as President in order to use the office of the President as immunity against being charged with a crime.
With Trump having the same mentality as President means that a lot of problems are going to take place that Trump will not have to take responsibility for because he was not the one who appointed those who made the mistakes.
Trump can't handle the burden of being in command because he cannot handle the burden of issuing orders or agendas himself that would have serious if not a fatal affect on his image. He therefore appoints others to lead the fight as he sits back and watches the fight. If the fight goes his way he will take full credit. If not then he will blame those that Mike Pence appointed.
A real president would have confidence in himself to appoint those in his cabinet. Only someone who is not sure of himself would have the Vice President Elect appoint the cabinet to create a buffer between Trump and failure.
Does America really want a President who puts the blame on someone else because he can't step up and appoint his own cabinet knowing that he will be held responsible for the actions of those in his cabinet because he appointed them personally?
Will those appointed by Pence really want to take the abuse from Trump when his policies fail and the credit taken by Trump when his polices are a success?
Do the electors of the Electoral College really want blamed for electing Trump when his failed policies are turned around on them for electing Trump as Trump walks away blaming those who elected him for making him enforce their failed agenda?
