What's going on over at The Trek Collective?

Not exactly lit related but, many of us go there for the grand Trek-lit reading order list and, while there, get an update on any recent Trek news, including details of upcoming novels, comics, etc.

I can't have helped but notice that, while in the past, there have usually been updates every few days, now the most recent post is from Friday, September 23. I find it hard to believe that there's been that little Trek news in a whole month.

Has anyone heard anything about what may be going on over there? Is everything alright with 8of5?

 

He and I email back and forth a lot, but the last I heard from him was the beginning of September, when we posted the revised flowchart.

 

In all honesty, there really hasn't been that much Trek news in recent months. There's been next to nothing about Discovery since late August or early September, the new novels announced last week was the first thing novel related in a long while, again aside from the Discovery novel news. Even news about the comics has been sporadic here lately. There simply isn't that much Trek related news going around these days.

 

I have sent him a mail a couple of days ago, no reply so far.

 

I wondered why Trek collective wasn't updated either I looked at the site yesterday.

 

8of5 is usually pretty quick to update after stuff like that has started popping up though.

 

I tried to contact him about a week ago as well, and have yet to recieve a response. I'm worrying a bit at this point.

 

Just to put things in perspective, I checked through TC, and through Sept. and Aug. 8of5 never seemed to go more than three or four days without an update.

 

I get the reading order list from TC. Hope 8of5's alright.

 

I checked 8 of 5's twitter page it hasn't been updated for a long time either. I hope he's okay.

 

Damn, I was thinking about posting about this as well. Glad there are more people keeping an eye on this. I really hope he's ok.

 

Yeah, I've gone from missing the site being updated to not caring about the site at this point and hoping he's OK.

 

James was on Literary Treks a while back. I wonder if @Enterpriserules or @Kertrats47 have his real life contact info and can check in on him.

 

I'm assuming nobody here knows him offline?

 

The updates don't matter at this point, my hope is that he's well. We're a lot of things in this fandom, uncaring isn't one of them.

FWIW there was a post on what I believe (but I'm not 100% sure) is his personal twitter account on October 30th.
